Moisture-trigged electricity generator (MEG) that can convert ubiquitous moisture into electricity are highly desirable for developing renewable energy supply and ameliorating the crisis in energy. Constructing an asymmetric ordered, namely gradient ordered porous membrane has great potential in MEG. Herein, a series of cellulose acetate (CA)-based membranes with ordered asymmetric honeycomb membranes were fabricated by Breath Figure method, along with silver nanowires (AgNWs) coating. The asymmetric gradient honeycomb pores were achieved by graft modification of lauroyl chloride and adjustment of relative humidity, which not only endowed the MEG with sensitive sensing signals transport under tension and humidity fluctuations but also enhanced voltages generation speed under flowing moisture. The current study provides a facile and scalable strategy for constructing asymmetric gradient ordered porous materials and creates more possibilities for MEG self-powered flexible wearable electronic devices.

Reverse intersystem crossing (RISC) process is critical for thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) materials to realize spin-flip of triplet excitons in organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs), but the RISC processes of most TADF materials are not fast enough, undermining electroluminescence (EL) efficiency stability and operational lifetime. Herein, a symmetry breaking strategy to accelerate RISC processes is proposed. By designing asymmetric electron-withdrawing backbone consisting of benzonitrile and xanthone/thioxanthone groups, two new asymmetric TADF molecules, 4tCzCN-pXT and 4tCzCN-pTXT, with multiple 3,6-di-tert-butylcarbazole donors are successfully developed.

This study used an odd (isolated) item inserted into a homogeneous serial list to investigate process differences between absolute- and relative-order judgments. The serial list consisted of eight names of people ordered in height. These were all male or female names except the fourth name which was of the opposite gender.

We present a supramolecular templating strategy for inducing chirality in hybrid perovskites via confined crystallization within chiral super spaces-nanoconfined, helically ordered cavities formed by the self-assembly of achiral bent-core molecules with chiral additives. Upon removal of the additives, the resulting porous films retain permanent chirality. Quasi-2D hybrid organic-inorganic perovskites crystallized within these templates exhibit distinct chiroptical activity, including mirror-image circular dichroism and circularly polarized light emitting (CPLE), with CPLE dissymmetry factors reaching up to 1.

This conceptual study examines Matte Blanco's system of bi-logic as a novel framework for understanding psychedelic altered states of consciousness. The initial point of departure is a consideration of the complex historical relationship between psychoanalysis and psychedelics, prompting a review of contemporary psychoanalytic and neuropsychoanalytic perspectives on psychedelic action. This leads into an exposition of bi-logic, which reformulates Freud's conception of conscious and unconscious processes in terms of logico-mathematical principles, postulating binary modes of mental functioning: the , characterized by logic, differentiation, ordered relations in space and time, and cognition; and the , characterized by symmetry, generalization, unity, spacelessness, timelessness, paradox, and boundless affect.

Purpose: Uro-Dynamic MRI was used to non-invasively quantify bladder biomechanics, characterizing the fundamental relationship between bladder wall surface area and bladder volume during voiding.
Methods: Differential Subsampling with Cartesian Ordering MRI sequence was used to acquire multiple volumetric bladder images during the voiding in five normal male subjects. Images were imported into MIMICS.
