Intraoperative electrocorticography (ECoG) represents a crucial tool for improving seizure outcomes during epilepsy surgeries by assisting in localization of the epileptogenic zones. There is a shortage of information in the literature regarding single-center experiences and long-term outcomes after ECoG-guided surgeries. Data are particularly scarce from the Eastern Mediterranean Region.

Background: The incidence of cancer therapy-related cardiac dysfunction is increasing with the growing number of breast cancer patients. In particular, patients with active cancer combined with severe irreversible cardiac dysfunction present significant challenges in treatment decision-making.
Case Summary: A 40-year-old woman with Stage II HER-2-positive breast cancer received anthracycline followed by HER2-targeted agents.

Objective: This study aims to evaluate the role of MRI-guided hysteroscopic one-step precise resection in diagnosing suspected myometrial invasion (MI) of endometrial cancer (EC) in patients desiring fertility preservation and to analyze the impact of suspected MI on the outcomes of fertility-preserving treatments.
Methods: A total of 169 patients with early-stage endometrial cancer who required fertility preservation were enrolled. Among them, 103 cases were ruled out for myometrial invasion by MRI (control group), while 66 cases exhibited suspected myometrial invasion.

Delivering surgical services in low- and middle-income countries often requires adaptability and ingenuity due to resource limitations. This case report describes how a visiting surgical team in a Pacific Island nation overcame the absence of a diathermy foot pedal during a transurethral resection of the prostate by collaborating with both on-site and remote biomedical engineers. The team modified a handheld pencil diathermy to mimic foot pedal functionality.

Debilitated calves are often presented with an umbilical remnant infection, septic arthritis, or both. These comorbidities, frequently caused by similar bacteria, must be addressed surgically. In cases of omphalophlebitis where the infection reaches the liver, the clinician generally has 1 option: marsupialization of the vein.
