A new species, , isolated from air in Mengla, Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province, China, was characterized and described combining morphological characteristics and multigene phylogenetic analysis. Morphologically, it is characterized by oblong, sometimes slightly constricted, micro-guttulate conidia and simple obovoid to ellipsoidal appressoria. Phylogenetic analysis of the ITS, ACT, CHS, and GAPDH sequences showed that belongs to the complex. The pathogenicity of on fruits of several crop plants, including strawberry, orange, grape, tomato, and blueberry, was tested and confirmed by the re-isolation of .

Powered air-purifying respirators (PAPR) have become an increasingly utilized form of respiratory protection against highly infectious aerosols. In the United States, PAPRs have been used in high-level clinical isolation settings to care for patients infected with viral hemorrhagic fevers and, more recently, during the COVID-19 pandemic. PAPRs have long been used for biocontainment care and experienced increased use during the pandemic because they provide full-face visibility and eye and respiratory protection.

Pd-zeolites are promising passive NO adsorber (PNA) materials for mitigating cold-start emissions from lean-burn engines. However, their practical deployment is constrained by insufficient densities and dispersion of isolated Pd active sites as well as their susceptibility to hydrothermal degradation and phosphorus poisoning encountered in vehicle exhaust environments. Healthcare-associated infections are linked with the contamination of inanimate surfaces and the air in occupied hospital areas by recognized pathogens. However, there is limited information about the presence of these microorganisms or other potential pathogens in critical areas prior to their clinical operation. Here, we determined the microbial community in critical areas prior to their validation for hospital care and reviewed the background for the potential pathogenic role of this microbiota for populations susceptible to opportunistic infections.
