Background: Tuberculosis (TB) is a widespread infectious disease, with an incidence that is increasing worldwide. Cutaneous TB (CTB) occurs rarely, accounting for less than 1% of all TB cases. Due to the clinical presentation and diagnostic difficulties, CTB is often clinically neglected and misdiagnosed.
Case Summary: A 32-year-old man underwent several debridement surgeries and skin flap transplantation after trauma. The wound remained unhealed, accompanied by sinus formation. According to empirical judgment, T-cell spot of TB test, and bacterial culture of pyogenic fluids, he was diagnosed with CTB due to infection with exogenous . A comprehensive anti-TB regimen that included isoniazid, rifampicin, ethambutol, and pyrazinamide was applied. The sinus was filled with a hydrophilic fiber-containing silver dressing, and wound-protecting sponges were applied to part of the wound. The wound healed after 40 d. No ulceration was found within 2 mo after discharge; further follow-up will be conducted.
Conclusion: A non-healing wound may be caused by TB infection. Comprehensive treatment of CTB is effective.

Copper (Cu) is an essential micronutrient in various enzymatic and physiological functions. However, excessive copper intake, mainly resulting from industrial emissions and improper agricultural practices, has raised growing concerns due to its toxicological effects, particularly on the male reproductive system. This review summarizes current research progress on copper-induced reproductive toxicity in males, emphasizing its impact on sperm quality, androgen production, and testicular structure and function.

The singular forms of programmed cell death (PCD), including pyroptosis, apoptosis, and necroptosis, are inadequate for comprehensively elucidating the complex pathological mechanisms underlying ischemic diseases. PANoptosis is a unique lytic, innate immune, and inflammatory cell death pathway, initiated by innate immune sensors and driven by caspases and RIPKs through PANoptosome complexes. In diseases like cerebral ischemia, retinal ischemia, myocardial ischemia, renal ischemia, and spinal cord ischemia, targeting key regulatory factors of PANoptosis can help mitigate tissue damage.

Background: To review the biological functions of ergothioneine (ERGO), its correlation with plasma levels in cognitive frailty, and research progress in treating frailty and cognitive impairment, with the aim of providing a reference for ERGO application in cognitive frailty treatment.
Methods: A comprehensive review of existing literature on ERGO's chemical structure, sources, antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects, and its role in cognitive frailty was conducted. Clinical trial data and metabolomic studies were also analyzed to understand ERGO's therapeutic potential.
Purpose Clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC), the dominant subtype of renal malignancy, has a rising global incidence and mortality. While surgery is the standard of care for localized cases, adjuvant therapy aims to improve outcomes in high-risk postoperative patients. To quantify the clinical value of adjuvant pharmacotherapy, this systematic review and meta-analysis assesses its effect on overall survival (OS), disease-free survival (DFS), and progression-free survival (PFS) in patients with ccRCC.

Hemophilia B gene therapy treatments currently have not addressed the need for predictable, durable, active, and redosable factor IX (FIX). Unlike conventional gene therapy, engineered B Cell Medicines (BCMs) are durable, redosable, and titratable, and thus have the potential to address significant unmet needs in the Hemophilia B treatment paradigm. BE-101 is an autologous BCM comprised of expanded and differentiated B lymphocyte lineage cells genetically engineered ex vivo to secrete FIX-Padua.
