A manganese-catalyzed site- and enantiodifferentiating oxidation of C(sp)-H bonds in saturated cyclic ethers has been described. The mild and practical method is applicable to a range of tetrahydrofurans, tetrahydropyrans, and medium-sized cyclic ethers with multiple stereocenters and diverse substituent patterns in high efficiency with extremely efficient site- and enantiodiscrimination. Late-stage application in complex biological active molecules was further demonstrated. Mechanistic studies by combined experiments and computations elucidated the reaction mechanism and origins of stereoselectivity. The ability to employ ether substrates as the limiting reagent, together with a broad substrate scope, and a high level of chiral recognition, represent a valuable demonstration of the utility of asymmetric C(sp)-H oxidation in complex molecule synthesis.

Objective: To explore the impact of Tripterygium wilfordii glycosides (TWG) on glomerulosclerosis within a rat model of chronic kidney disease (CKD), as well as the role of the transforming growth factor-β1 (TGF-β1)/Smad signaling pathway in this mechanism.
Methods: Twenty-four clean Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into Sham group (n = 8), model group (n = 8) and TWG group (n = 8). Adriamycin nephropathy (ADRN) rat model was established by jugular vein injection of adriamycin (ADR).

Objectives: Acute lung injury (ALI) is an acute respiratory failure syndrome characterized by impaired gas exchange. Due to the lack of effective targeted drugs, it is associated with high mortality and poor prognosis. (TW) has demonstrated anti-inflammatory activity in the treatment of various diseases.

Sensitivity assessment of 300 Cercospora beticola isolates collected from North Greece revealed that 38 % of the population was highly resistant to at least one of the demethylase inhibitors (DMIs) difenoconazole, epoxiconazole and flutriafol. Resistance factors greater than 50, 100 and 100 were calculated for the most resistant C. beticola isolates to flutriafol, epoxiconazole and difenoconazole, respectively.

A one-pot strategy was developed to fabricate a strong and ductile elastomer composed of chitin nanocrystals and poly(deep eutectic solvent) (ChNC/PDES), based on a dual-network structure formed through glycidyl methacrylate (GMA)associated modification, polymerization and crosslinking. This approach enables the integrated pretreatment, chemical modification, and nanodispersion of chitin within a lactic acid/choline chloride deep eutectic solvent (DES) system. Whereafter, the ultraviolet initiated polymerization of GMA with ChNC and DES components produced a homogeneous elastomer with a maximum tensile strength of 4.

The aberrant vasculature within the inflamed joint cavity of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) not only exacerbates joint pathology but also restricts the effective delivery of therapeutic drugs. Herein, we propose a strategy that involves the rapid and sustained vasculature repair alongside microenvironment-driven drug delivery to achieve multifaceted RA management. The transformable, self-assembling nanoplatform specifically accumulates in the inflamed joint cavity guided by a vascular targeting peptide (STP).
