Article Abstract

Within a framework of the state space method, an axisymmetric solution for functionally graded one-dimensional hexagonal piezoelectric quasi-crystal circular plate is presented in this paper. Applying the finite Hankel transform onto the state space vector, an ordinary differential equation with constant coefficients is obtained for the circular plate provided that the free boundary terms are zero and an exponential function distribution of material properties is assumed. The ordinary differential equation is then used to obtain the stress, displacement and electric components in the physical domain of the elastic simply supported circular plate through the use of the propagator matrix method and the inverse Hankel transform. The numerical studies are carried out to show the validity of the present solution and reveal the influence of material inhomogeneity on the axisymmetric bending of the circular plate with different layers and loadings, which provides guidance for the design and manufacture of functionally graded one-dimensional hexagonal piezoelectric quasi-crystal circular plate.

Statement Of Problem: Despite the importance of denture hygiene, little is known about how different hygiene protocols perform against multispecies biofilms, including Candida albicans, Staphylococcus aureus, and Streptococcus mutans, on denture surfaces made from conventional versus 3-dimensionally (3D) printed acrylic resins.

Purpose: The purpose of this in vitro study was to evaluate the effect of hygiene protocols on a multispecies biofilm (C albicans, S aureus, and S mutans) formed on resin used for denture bases and teeth.

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) poses a significant global health threat, necessitating a deeper understanding of bacterial adaptation mechanisms. This study investigates the genotypic and phenotypic evolutionary trajectories of under meropenem and gentamicin selection, and it benchmarks these findings against florfenicol-evolved strains. Utilizing a downsized, three-layer acrylic modified "Microbial Evolution and Growth Arena (MEGA-plate) system"-scaled to 40 × 50 cm for sterile handling and uniform 37 °C incubation-we tracked adaptation over 9-13 days, enabling real-time visualization of movement across antibiotic gradients.
