Background: Effective education about endoscopic surgery (ES) is greatly needed for unskilled surgeons, especially at low-volume institutions, to maintain the safety of patients. We have tried to establish the remote educational system using videoconference system through the internet for education about ES to surgeons belonging to affiliate institutions. The aim of this manuscript was to report the potential to establish a comfortable remote educational system and to debate its advantages.
Methods: We established a local remote educational conference system by combining the use of a general web conferencing system and a synchronized remote video playback system with annotation function through a high-speed internet.
Results: During 2014-2019, we conducted 14 videoconferences to review and improve surgeons' skills in performing ES at affiliated institutions. At these conferences, while an uncut video of ES that had been performed at one of the affiliated institutions was shown, the surgical procedure was discussed frankly, and expert surgeons advised improvements. The annotation system is useful for easy, prompt recognition among the audience regarding anatomical structures and procedures that are difficult to explain verbally.
Conclusions: This system is of low initial cost and offers easy participation and high-quality videos. It would therefore be a useful tool for regional ES education.

Objectives: Urinary calculi are characterized by a high recurrence rate, and patients' adherence to self-management after discharge directly affects health outcomes. Traditional offline follow-up models often face problems such as poor compliance and uneven allocation of medical resources, making it difficult to meet individualized health management needs. Remote follow-up provides a novel solution to optimize long-term management, improve health literacy, and enhance clinical outcomes.

Background: As healthcare systems increasingly embrace digital transformation, the need for a specialised digital health workforce, distinct from general clinical or IT roles, has become paramount. This study offers a national review of digital health education (DHE) offerings in Australian universities, with a focus on how current curricula support the development of advanced, workforce-ready skills in areas such as health informatics, data analytics, digital implementation, and leadership.
Methods: A systematic web-based review was conducted across all 42 Australian universities, drawing on publicly available resources including official handbooks, course catalogues, and subject guides.

Clinical Placement Professionals (CPPs) are instrumental in seamlessly connecting academic learning with practical clinical experiences in nursing education. This paper describes the role, responsibilities, challenges, and recommendations for the CPP profession and explores how the utilization of CPPs across academic disciplines varies significantly, with diverse titles, team structures, and fundamental duties among schools of nursing and healthcare systems. As nursing program enrollments surge and clinical placements remain scarce, the value and standardization of the CPP role become paramount in increasing the number of adequately prepared nurses nationwide.

Background: Anhedonia, the lack of interest or pleasure in activities, is a core but under-addressed symptom of depression. Consequently, little is known about the efficacy of treatments for alleviating anhedonia.
Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of psychotherapeutic and pharmacological treatments for depression at reducing symptoms of anhedonia.

Teleproctoring offers a remote alternative to traditional surgical mentoring, addressing logistical barriers in robotic surgery education. We conducted a prospective trial to assess the feasibility and trainee perception of teleproctoring using the Proximie platform. Eighteen surgeons with limited robotic experience performed a standardized enterotomy closure on synthetic bowel models using the da Vinci Si system, while receiving real-time remote guidance from an expert located 2570 km away.
