infectionis one of the most prevalent chronic bacterial human infections worldwide. colonizes the gastric mucosa and causes persistent gastritis that may progress to gastric cancer. Increased resistance of presents a major problem in most countries. Statins, including simvastatin, which are currently used to treat hypercholesterolemia, appear to have potential synergistic role to antibiotics. This study aimed to assess the value of adding simvastatin as adjuvant to standard triple therapy in patients infected with . This study was conducted on 100 patients diagnosed with by the presence of antigen in stools. All patients were randomly subjected either to the standard triple regimen (clarithromycin 500 mg bid + amoxicillin 1 g bid + omeprazole 20 mg bid) (group 1, N=50) or to the standard triple regimen plus simvastatin (clarithromycin 500 mg bid + amoxicillin 1 g bid + omeprazole 20 mg bid + simvastatin 20 mg bid) (group 2, N=50). Both groups were treated for 14 days and eradication of was assessed by a stool antigen test 4 weeks after therapy. Eradication of infection was significantly higher in patients treated with the standard triple therapy plus simvastatin (n=41, 82%) than in patients treated with the standard triple therapy (n=31, 62%) (<0.022). Simvastatin significantly improves the eradication rate.

Background: Stroke, frequently associated with carotid artery disease, is evaluated using carotid computed tomography angiography (CTA). Dual-energy CTA (DE-CTA) enhances imaging quality but presents challenges in maintaining high image clarity with low-dose scans.
Objectives: To compare the image quality of 50 keV virtual monoenergetic images (VMI) generated using Deep Learning Image Reconstruction (DLIR) and Adaptive Statistical Iterative Reconstruction-V (ASIR-V) algorithms under a triple-low scanning protocol in carotid CTA.

Purpose: The purpose of the study was to identify the safety and effectiveness of an accelerated (AR) versus conservative (CR) rehabilitation regimen following surgical repair of proximal hamstring tendon avulsions.
Methods: This prospective randomized controlled trial (RCT) allocated patients undergoing proximal hamstring tendon repair to either a braced, partial weight-bearing rehabilitation regime (CR = 30) or an accelerated, unbraced regime, which permitted full weight-bearing as tolerated (AR = 27). Patients were evaluated pre-operatively and at 6 weeks, 3 and 6 months post-surgery, via patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs), patient satisfaction and global rating of change (GRC) scores.

Purpose: Previous studies have revealed alterations of the functional connectivity of the brain networks in ankylosing spondylitis (AS). Fractional amplitude of low-frequency fluctuations (fALFF) and regional homogeneity (ReHo) are both voxel-based functional metrics capable of estimating local spontaneous neural activities. This study aimed to investigate the local spontaneous neural activities in AS patients by utilizing the analytical approaches of fALFF and ReHo.

Purpose: Designing restorations remains challenging because the process is time-consuming and requires operator skill and experience. This clinical study evaluated the fit accuracy of polymerized complete crowns fabricated using a web-based 3D generative artificial intelligence design (GAID) method compared to crowns fabricated using a conventional computer-aided design (CCAD) method.
Materials And Methods: Sixty-two patients requiring complete crowns in maxillary and mandibular premolars and molars were enrolled.

Background: It is crucial to assess a patient's quality of recovery after major surgery. This study aims to compare the effect of neuraxial morphine and bilateral erector spinae plane block on quality of recovery in the first 48 postoperative hours in patients undergoing open upper abdominal surgeries.
Methods: This prospective, triple-arm, randomized study was performed to compare the effect of neuraxial morphine (intrathecal morphine, thoracic epidural) and erector spinae plane block on postoperative recovery.
