Purpose: To investigate revision rates and factors associated with the need for revision following proximal hamstring tendon repair.
Methods: This study included 243 patients who underwent proximal hamstring tendon repair due to an acute (n = 176) or chronic (n = 67) tear. Complications, re-injuries and re-operations were reviewed.
Purpose: To investigate factors associated with 10-year clinical scores after matrix-induced autologous chondrocyte implantation (MACI).
Methods: This retrospective case series included 143 MACI patients with 10-year clinical and radiological follow-up. Clinical assessment included the Knee Injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score (KOOS) quality of life (KOOS-QOL) and sport and recreation (KOOS-Sport/Rec) subscales, and patient satisfaction.
Background: Early surgical interventions are common for traumatic anterior shoulder instability in contact and collision sport athletes. It is unclear which tests, and which criteria, should be used to guide return to sport after surgery. As such, additional knowledge on postoperative shoulder function is needed to guide this decision making.

Presently, there is no single, clear route for the near-term production of the huge volumes of CO-free hydrogen necessary for the global transition to any type of hydrogen economy. All conventional routes to produce hydrogen from hydrocarbon fossil fuels (notably natural gas) involve the production-and hence the emission-of CO, most notably in the steam methane reforming (SMR) process. Our recent studies have highlighted another route; namely, the critical role played by the microwave-initiated catalytic pyrolysis, decomposition or deconstruction of fossil hydrocarbon fuels to produce hydrogen with low to near-zero CO emissions together with high-value solid nanoscale carbonaceous materials.

Energy in the microwave spectrum is increasingly applied in clean energy technologies. This review discusses recent innovations using microwave fields in hydrogen production and synthesis of new battery materials, highlighting the unique properties of microwave heating. Key innovations include microwave-assisted hydrogen generation from water, hydrocarbons and ammonia and the synthesis of high-performance anode and cathode materials.

Methods: While 153 patients were prospectively recruited and randomized to an ST or STG autograft, 131 (62 ST and 69 STG) were retained following ACLR and followed post-surgery. Standardized surgical techniques were employed, varying only in graft selection and fixation.

J Strength Cond Res 39(6): e774-e780, 2025-This study was designed to examine positional and sex differences in countermovement jump (CMJ) force-time characteristics among subelite male ( n = 111) and female ( n = 71) Australian football (AF) players and establish normative data for key performance output metrics.

Here, a hybrid Zn/b-ZnO catalyst, together with the specially-designed microwave reaction system, has achieved fast plastic waste upgrading under atmospheric pressure without using H.

To investigate how this trait affects the distribution and turnover of dead leaf material in Lodoicea forest, we measured dead leaf production and standing crops of dead leaves attached to palms (D) and in the litter layer (D); for comparison, we measured D in stands of the non-marcescent species Martellidendron hornei and Deckenia nobilis. In a litterbag experiment, we investigated the decomposition of four types of leaf material: newly dead marcescent Lodoicea, old marcescent Lodoicea, and newly dead Deckenia and Martellidendron.

Purpose: To investigate return to sport (RTS) after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR), differences based on sex and concomitant meniscal repair, and identify reasons why patients do not RTS.
Methods: Overall, 232 patients undergoing ACLR, with or without concomitant meniscal repair, that were actively participating in pivoting sports at the time of injury, were prospectively recruited. At 2 years, return to preinjury pivoting sport was investigated and, if they had returned, whether they felt their performance was at (or better) or below preinjury status.
Objective: This study aimed to investigate the current beliefs and practices among Australian physiotherapists regarding the management of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries.
Design: Cross-sectional survey.
Setting: Online survey.
The agri-food sector is undergoing a comprehensive transformation as it transitions towards net zero. To achieve this, fundamental changes and innovations are required, including changes in how food is produced and delivered to customers, new technologies, data and physical infrastructures, and algorithmic advancements. In this paper, we explore the opportunities and challenges of deploying AI-based data infrastructures for sustainability in the agri-food sector by focusing on two case studies: soft-fruit production and brewery operations.

The present study investigates the outcomes following isolated LEAT to address ongoing instability following ACLR without LEAT. Patients with ongoing symptomatic instability following ACLR with a radiologically intact and well-positioned graft who underwent an isolated LEAT between January 2017 and March 2022 were retrospectively recruited.

The substitution pattern of the thioureas controls the decomposition rate of precursors into sulfur monomers and thereby aids in the exploration of decomposition kinetics on cobalt sulfide-phase formation, including phase-pure jaipurite (CoS), cobalt pentlandite (CoS), linnaeite (CoS), and cattierite (CoS). We hypothesize that the available transformation pathways between phases during synthesis are dictated by the approximate ccp or hcp stacking of the sulfur lattice.

For these oxidation cycles to occur, they must be initialized by a primary radical, i.e.

Purpose: To report on the recovery of strength and functional capacity symmetry following multiligament knee surgical reconstruction (MLKR), as well as the capacity of athletes to return to sport.
Methods: This prospective cohort study recruited 47 patients undergoing MLKR between February 2018 and July 2021. Forty patients had full outcome assessment postoperatively at 6, 12 and 24 months and were included in the analysis, 75% were knee dislocation one injuries and 60% were injured playing sport.
Background: Providing safety-netting advice (SNA) in out-of-hours (OOH) primary care is a recognised standard of safe care, but it is not known how frequently this occurs in practice.
Aim: Assess the frequency and type of SNA documented in OOH primary care and explore factors associated with its presence.
Design And Setting: This was a retrospective cohort study using the Birmingham Out-of-hours general practice Research Database.
Background: The Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS) was introduced by NHS England in 2019 alongside primary care networks (PCNs), with the aims of increasing the workforce and improving patient outcomes.
Aim: To describe the uptake of direct patient care (DPC)-ARRS roles and its impact on patients' experiences.
Design And Setting: An ecological study using 2020-2023 PCN and practice workforce data, registered patient characteristics, the General Practice Patient Survey, and the Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF).
Over the past 50 years, farming practices and public perceptions of farming in Aotearoa New Zealand (AoNZ) have changed substantially. These changes raise questions over the future relationship between farming communities and the public. Recent research challenges the assumption that perceptions of farming differ significantly between farmers and the public.

Introduction: The growing ability to provide online services has enabled the proliferation of exercise-based telehealth interventions; however, adoption in older adults may be impacted by low digital literacy and "technophobia."
Objectives: The aim of this study was to explore the experience of community and aged-care dwelling older adults following exercise-based telehealth services to provide insights that could guide future telehealth exercise delivery.
Design: Semi-structured interviews for qualitative analysis.
