A facile and mild method was successfully developed to prepare the stable, highly siliceous Ti-UTL zeolite with extra-large pores. The hydroxyl free radical (˙OH) was introduced for the first time to effectively promote the isomorphous substitution of Si for framework Ge under room temperature and neutral conditions, resulting in a stable titanosilicate with an outstanding catalytic activity for oxidative desulfurization.

The flammability and poor ultraviolet (UV) aging resistance of polylactic acid (PLA) limit its applications outdoors and in fields requiring flame retardancy. To address these limitations, this study designed ammonium polyphosphate (APP) as the core, the biopolymer chitosan (CS) as the inner shell, and lignin (LK) as the outer shell. CS and LK are deposited on the surface of APP via electrostatic interaction in the aqueous phase to prepare a core-shell structure flame retardant APP@CS@LK with anti-UV aging properties.

Dialdehyde polysaccharides (DAPs) were prepared as tanning agents via periodate oxidation, intentionally omitting ethanol precipitation to maintain molecular weight polydispersity, thus optimizing tanning performance. However, the presence of formaldehyde in these DAPs compromised their environmental sustainability. This study systematically explored the impact of polysaccharide structures on formaldehyde formation in DAPs.

The advanced degradation of ferricyanide ([Fe(CN)₆]³⁻) in industrial wastewater faces dual bottlenecks of self-acidification-induced hydrogen cyanide (HCN) release and inefficient decomplexation. This study innovatively constructs an alkaline UV/Peracetic Acid (PAA) synergistic system and systematically elucidates its triple action mechanism: (1) UV irradiation at 254 nm directly drives ligand-to-metal charge transfer (LMCT) excitation of ferricyanide, achieving efficient Fe-CN bond breaking (Φ₂₅₄ = 0.235-0.

Development on sustainable and inexpensive polymer fibers with high mechanical and water resistance properties has garnered significant attention in infrastructure application. Herein, lignin nanoparticles (LNP) were used as a modifier, boron nitride nanosheets (BNNS)@hyperbranched polylysine (HBPL) obtained were regarded as the cooperative modifier, and then polyvinyl alcohol (PVA)/LNP/BNNS@HBPL composite fibers were fabricated successfully by wet and dry spinning. Vast free hydrophilic hydroxyl groups in PVA decreased due to hydrogen bonding interactions among LNP, BNNS@HBPL, and PVA, thereby attenuating intramolecular and intermolecular hydrogen bonding within PVA.
