The effect of nano tamoxifen and some bioactive components such as yeast, isoflavone, and silymarin on the level of resistance and prevention of breast cancer progression in experimental animals is the target of this study. Thirty female Sprague-Dawley rats received a single medication dosage of 7,12-dimethylbenz[a]anthracene (DMBA) intragastrically. After fourteen days of DMBA admission, the procedure protocol started out. Finally, all the experimental results evaluated, tabulated and statistically analyzed. The results demonstrated a highly significant elevation in the 8-OHdG level in group 1 (nano yeast) and 3 (nano silymarin) while the results demonstrated a highly significant reduction in group 2 (nano tamoxifen). The apoptosis results demonstrated a significant elevation in group 3 (nano silymarin) where appeared significant reduction in group 4 (nano isoflavone). ErbB-2 results demonstrated a significant elevation in group 2 (nano tamoxifen) and a significant reduction in each of group 3 (nano silymarin) and 4 (nano isoflavone). The lipid peroxide level demonstrated an extremely significant reduction in group 4 (nano isoflavone). And a significant reduction of total antioxidant was observed in group 3 (nano silymarin) in comparison to injected animals control. This may be considered a new vision and strategy to resist breast cancer disease or prevent progression.

Phosphorus is recognized as a major pollutant in municipal and domestic wastewater, but the effective removal of organic phosphorus (OP) using conventional wastewater treatment technologies is difficult. Herein, a novel visible light-enhanced Ti electrocoagulation (EC) technology was proposed for the removal of OP using 2-amino-ethyl phosphonic acid (AEP) as a model compound to elucidate the removal efficiency and mechanisms. The results showed that the irradiation under visible light (670 Lux) effectively enhanced the removal of AEP by Ti EC.

The integration of Mn in NaMnFe(PO)PO (NMFPP) enhances the energy density but compromises the Na mobility and structural stability due to limited electron hopping and pronounced Jahn-Teller effects. To address this, a structurally compatible anionic substitution strategy is implemented by partially replacing PO with bulkier and less electronegative SiO groups. The reinforced cathode exhibits enhanced rate performance, which is attributed to lattice expansion induced by the larger SiO units, thereby facilitating Na diffusion and reducing impedance during charge-discharge processes, as supported by GITT and DRT analyses.

Herein, ruthenium nanoparticles (RuNPs) were synthesized using Tridax procumbens leaf extract as a reducing and stabilizing agent. The synthesis was optimized by adjusting temperature, leaf extract concentration, and reaction time. The synthesized RuNPs were characterized using UV-visible, XRD, EDAX, FTIR spectroscopy, SEM, and TEM, revealing uniform size and morphology.

Sulfur-modified nanoscale zero-valent iron (S-nZVI) has emerged as a promising additive for enhancing anaerobic treatment of refractory wastewater. However, its long-term effectiveness and role in toxic shock resistance remain unclear. Herein, S-nZVI was first applied to continuous-flow anaerobic reactors treating wastewater containing 2,4-dichlorophenol (2,4-DCP).

Addressing the issues of slow decomposition and low nutrient release efficiency associated with traditional straw returning, this study innovatively applied ultrasound-assisted centrifugal separation technology to prepare submicron/nano-straw particles and systematically conducted a multi-scale investigation from microscopic to macroscopic levels. The core finding reveals that when the particle size reaches the 1 μm threshold, ultrasonic cavitation vigorously disrupts the straw structure, leading to efficient lignin removal (77.45 %) and a significant reduction in cellulose crystallinity, thereby fundamentally enhancing the degradation rate.
