Article Abstract

In this paper, spatial and temporal distribution, transportation and deposition of PM2.5 in Shandong Province in Spring, 2014 were all analyzed by applying PSAT of CAMx model and we also developed a transport matrix of PM2.5 between different cities in Shandong. The results showed that ρ(PM2.5) presented obvious spatial distribution characteristics; ρ(PM2.5) was higher in the western part compared to that in peninsula and ρ(PM2.5) was mainly concentrated below 2 000 m in vertical direction. Simulated horizontal transport flux of PM2.5 was up to 110 µg.(m2.s)-1 and the total deposition amount of PM2.5 was 23. 05 x 10(4) t in Shandong during Spring, 2014. Analysis of regional contribution found that the pollutants mainly came from local districts and the average external transport contribution to the whole Shandong province was about 21. 08% ± 3. 83% while it was 40. 45% ± 5. 96% between different cities; the contribution rates of Jinjinji distrcit, background and boundary conditions gradually increased by 7. 56% and 6. 18% respectively as the altitude increased.

Concerns over the mental health among young people have been increasing recently. We aimed to estimate the burdens of mental disorders, substance use disorders (SUDs), and self-harm at global, regional and national levels among adolescents and young adults aged 10-24 years from 1990 to 2021. Incidence, prevalence, and disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) of mental disorders, SUDs, and self-harm among young people were examined by age, sex, region, and country/territory.

Metal halide perovskites have garnered significant attention due to their exceptional photoelectric properties. The alkali metal doping strategy has been demonstrated to effectively modulate grain size, control crystallization kinetics, and adjust band gap characteristics in perovskite. This study employs the first-principles calculations to reveal that the selection of alkali metal species and their corresponding doping methodologies exert markedly distinct influences on both the electronic properties and ion migration kinetics of CsPbBr perovskites.

Bivalve mollusks represent a taxonomically and economically significant clade within Mollusca. However, the regulatory mechanisms governing their embryonic development remain poorly characterized. The dwarf surf clam ( ), characterized by a short generation time and high fecundity, has recently gained recognition as an ideal model system for bivalve embryological research.

Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a neurodegenerative disease characterized by β-amyloid (Aβ) deposition, imposing significant social and economic burdens globally. Despite extensive efforts have been devoted to developing fluorescent probes for Aβ imaging, further improving the luminescent efficiency of prevailing probes still remains a significant challenge. Herein, we investigated the inner mechanism of constructing high-efficient Aβ probes via a structural cyclization strategy.

Electrical deep brain stimulation is effective for epilepsy suppression, but will lead to neural tissue damage and inflammation due to implantation of electrodes and a pulse generator. Transcranial magnetic and transcranial ultrasound stimulation cannot directly generate effective electrical signals in deep brain regions. Here, the use of piezoelectric nanoparticles is proposed as wireless nanostimulators for deep brain electrical stimulation and minimally invasive suppression of epilepsy.
