Mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) lymphoma of the small intestine is relatively rare, and the treatment guideline has not been established yet. Here we present a case of MALT lymphoma in the terminal ileum, which regressed after () eradication. A 53-year-old man had complained of abdominal discomfort and underwent a gastrointestinal endoscopic examination.

is a gram-negative bacterium that associated with diseases such as gastritis, peptic ulcer and gastric cancer. In recent years, various treatment options have been evaluated, such as bismuth-containing quadruple therapy, high-dose dual therapy, and the use of acid-suppressing drugs such as Vonoprazan, however, the effectiveness of eradication treatment is still dramatically decreasing due to the rising antibiotic resistance rate, and successful eradication of has become a major public health problem. Therefore a promising strategy against drug-resistant is to individualize treatment based on the outcome of antibiotic resistance.

Objective Specific microRNAs (miRNAs) in patients with functional dyspepsia (FD) and previous Helicobacter pylori (HP) infections have not been elucidated. This study aimed to investigate exosomal miRNAs as potential biomarkers of FD in patients with a previous HP infection using a liquid biopsy. Methods Six patients with FD and six age- and sex-matched healthy controls (HCs) with a previous HP infection were enrolled in the discovery cohort.

Gastric precancerous lesions (GPL) represent a crucial stage in the complex process of gastric carcinogenesis that leads to gastric cancer (GC), one of the most prevalent cancers and a major source of cancer mortality worldwide. Many studies have identified the gastrointestinal microbiota, or gut microbiota, as an important contributor to both the pathogenesis and treatment of GPL and GC, thus understanding its role in this transition is crucial. The purpose of this literature review is to introduce the current landscape of microbiota research associated with GPL and GC, with an emphasis on () driven microbial dysbiosis and its modulation through Western medicine and traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) approaches.

Background: (), a globally prevalent pathogen, is exhibiting increasing rates of antimicrobial resistance. However, clinical implementation of pre-treatment susceptibility testing remains limited due to the organism's fastidious growth requirements and prolonged culture time.
Aim: To propose a novel detection method utilizing antibiotic-supplemented media to inhibit susceptible strains, while resistant isolates were identified through urease-mediated hydrolysis of urea, inducing a phenol red color change for visual confirmation.
