Objective: To investigate the effect of large vestibular aqueduct syndrome (LVAS) on middle ear sound transmission using wideband absorbance immittance (WAI).
Methods: WAI results from young adult LVAS patients and normal adults were compared.
Results: Averaged energy absorbance (EA) at ambient and peak pressure in the LVAS group showed differences to the normal group.

The present study aimed to examine the effect and underlying mechanism of parental burnout on adolescents' development as well as the mediating role of parental psychological control. Adolescents' academic performance, and social distress were selected as developmental indicators. Data were collected on three different occasions using a time-lagged design.

Herein, a new platform for sensing application was established based on G-quadruplex-hemin DNAzyme (GQH) functionalized gold-coated nanopipettes. In this method, GQH was immobilized on gold-coated nanopipette, which could be used as a catalyst for the reaction of HO with 2,2'-azino-bis (3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) diammonium salt (ABTS) to promote the conversion of ABTS to ABTS ions inside gold-coated nanopipette, and the change of transmembrane ion current could be monitored in real time.

Radix Isatidis polysaccharide (RIP) is a crude extract of Banlangen with antioxidant, antibacterial, antiviral, and multiple immunomodulatory functions. The aim of this study was to explore the innate immune mechanisms responsible for RIP-mediated alleviation of infectious bronchitis virus (IBV)-induced kidney lesions in chickens.

Field-independent individuals tend to rely on internal capabilities and use internal references to process information, while field-dependent individuals mainly rely on external references and focus on external information. Individuals with two cognitive styles have different attention patterns to perform time-based prospective memory (TBPM) tasks, with different effects on their TBPM performance.

Nontraditional lipid parameters broaden traditional lipid profiles, better reflect the metabolism and interaction between different lipid components, and optimize the predictive ability of lipid profiles for atherosclerotic diseases. This research was carried out to investigate the predictive value of nontraditional lipid parameters for intracranial or extracranial atherosclerotic stenosis.

In order to shed light on how time pressure affects employees' innovation performance, two studies were conducted to examine the effect of time pressure on innovation performance. In Study 1, based on 50 effect sizes from 50 independent samples ( = 15,751) in 40 articles, a meta-analysis was conducted to examine the J-shaped effect of time pressure on innovation performance.

Methods: In compliance with evidence-based medicine, combined with clinical practice, clinical pharmacists participated in the formulation of the perioperative anticoagulant clinical medicine pathway. The PDCA cycle was strictly implemented.
SARS-CoV-2, especially the variant strains, is rapidly spreading around the world. Rapid detection methods for the virus are crucial for controlling the COVID-19 epidemic. Herein, a localized surface plasmonic resonance (LSPR) biosensor based on Ω-shaped fiber optic (Ω-FO) was developed for dual assays of SARS-CoV-2 monitoring.

In recent years, the use of intelligent and efficient food freshness indicators (FFIs) for monitoring food freshness has been studied widely. In this work, we employed polyacrylonitrile as polymer, blueberry anthocyanins as an indicator, and caffeic acid as a co-pigment and fabricated a novel colorimetric sensing film for real-time monitoring the freshness of fish. The total volatile basic nitrogen (TVB-N) level is one of the potential indicators to evaluate meat freshness.

Some of these intended actions help other individuals, and thus involve time-based prospective memory (TBPM) under prosocial motivational conditions. Children's social development is very rapid, and they have relatively stable prosocial motivation during school age.

We aimed to investigate the effect of combined white matter hyperintensities (WMH) and enlarged perivascular spaces (EPVS) as detected in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) at baseline on clinical outcomes in patients with AIS who underwent EVT. AIS patients that experienced EVT were retrospectively analyzed in this single-center study.

In the present study, two experiments were conducted to clarify this issue. In Experiment 1, faces were divided into left and right sides to ascertain whether Chinese subjects scanned the left side of Chinese and Western faces more often than the right side.

Evaluating the behavior of proteins and protein-related interactions at the single-molecule level is becoming more and more important for a better understanding of biological processes and diseases. In this work, the aptamer-functionalized nanopore was prepared as the sensing platform for kinetic analysis of the carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) with its aptamers, which is an important cancer biomarker.

However, presenteeism, the behavior of working in a state of ill health, is widespread in the nursing industry. Considering that the origin of authoritarian leadership and the prevalence of presenteeism are inseparable from Chinese workplace culture, this study aimed to explore the impact and mechanism of authoritarian leadership on presenteeism.

Herein, we developed an amino acid basedsupramolecular nanomedicine that could be co-activated by multiple stimuli in tumor tissue to trigger cascade catalytic reactions for synergetic therapy. The supramolecular nanomedicine was developed based on a combination of coordination and hydrophobic noncovalent interactions among amphiphilic amino acids, glucose oxidase (GOx), copper ions, as well as doxorubicin (DOX)-camptothecin (CPT) prodrugs.

Parental burnout refers to the feelings of extreme exhaustion that many parents experience due to parenting. Although parental burnout has received considerable interest from researchers, the effects and mechanisms of parental burnout on adolescents' physical and psychological development remain largely unknown. This study investigated the relationship between parental burnout and adolescents' problem behaviors in Chinese families.

A multicolor fluorescent nanoprobe has been prepared by loading bovine serum albumin-stabilized copper nanoclusters (BSA-Cu NCs) onto amino clay (AC) and grafting Eu with auxiliary ligand citric acid (Cit). Tetracycline (TC) can coordinate with Eu by β-diketone structure and transfer energy to Eu through antenna effect. When the concentration of TC is in the range 0 to 13 μM, the blue emission intensity of BSA-CuNCs is basically unchanged, and the red emission of Eu is remarkably enhanced due to the coordination with TC.
