The potential health risks posed by antipyrine-adulterated herbal teas and surface water underscore an urgent need for rapid detection methods. However, no rapid analytical techniques are currently available for antipyrine detection. This study proposes an effective Pharmacophore-based hapten design strategy, successfully generating a highly sensitive and selective antipyrine-specific antibody.

Background: Snake venom C-type lectin-like proteins (also known as snaclecs) have anticoagulation and procoagulation effects by targeting platelet or coagulation factor IX/X, suggesting their potential as candidates for new anticoagulant drugs. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the antiplatelet and antithrombotic effects of a new snaclec from venom and its potential as an anticoagulant candidate.
Methods: Promucetin was purified through sequential column chromatography, and its molecular mass was determined by SDS-PAGE.
Background: Gan-Mai-Da-Zao decoction (GMDZ), a traditional Chinese formulation used as both food and medicines, exhibits antidepressant effects. However, its underlying mechanisms, particularly those involving the gut-brain axis, remain unclear.
Purpose: To integrate gut microbiota profiling, metabolomics, and neuroinflammation to systematically elucidate GMDZ's antidepressant mechanisms.
A high-throughput method for the determination of a variety of chemical hazards in poultry muscle and egg samples was established via ultra-performance liquid chromatography-tandem triple quadrupole mass spectrometry (UPLC-QqQ-MS). The sample preparation procedure was developed based on this quick, easy, cheap, effective, rugged, and safe (QuEChERS) method and validated for 280 chemical hazards potentially present in poultry products. The target compounds in poultry samples were extracted with a 1% formic acid-acetonitrile solution (15:85, /), and the metal ions in the matrix were chelated by adding ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid disodium salt (NaEDTA).

Estrogens, particularly 17β-estradiol, are prevalent endocrine-disrupting chemicals in aquatic environments, posing risks to ecosystems and human health. Biodegradation is considered one of the most effective and environmentally friendly methods for removing estrogen. In this study, a novel bacterial strain, Microbacterium proteolyticum ZJSU01, was isolated from pig manure.

Abstract: EPL, a common pregnancy complication, yet has few effective preventive measures currently.
Phenacetin is often illegally adulterated into herbal teas for enhanced analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties, posing great threats to consumers' health. However, few rapid tests are available to monitor the banned phenacetin. Though one phenacetin immunoassay has been reported already, its unmet selectivity limits the wider application in rapid screening.

New drugs are needed to combat this pathogen since the limited treatment options currently available and increasing resistance to existing drugs. Berberine (BBR) is an active compound in Coptis chinensis, Phellodendron chinense and Radix berberidis, which is clinically used to treat inflammatory bowel disease, but its inhibitory effect on drug-resistant fungi has not been clarified.

Therefore, VFAs with suitable ratio are needed. Here, with the ratio of acetate: propionate: butyrate being 1:4:2, the maximum PHBV content and the 3HV content were 46.

Our objective was to explore whether elective HFOV was associated with less CLD or death as compared with CMV in preterm infants administered surfactant.
Methods: We conducted a systematic review and meta-analysis, including 1835 ventilated participants from 11 randomized controlled trials comparing elective HFOV with CMV between February 1993 and February 2014.
In this study, the effects of fermentation pH and redox potential on the performance of the lactate platform were comprehensively evaluated. The results indicated that the type of acidogenic fermentation was influenced by redox potential, while pH was correlated with volatile fatty acid yield. The highest propionate yield was achieved under anaerobic conditions at a pH of9, with the dominant genus Serpentinicella producing propionate through the acrylate pathway.

This convergence arises from their involvement in chronic inflammation and immune responses, an aspect that has progressively captivated the attention of investigators but remain controversial.
Methods: We used two-sample Mendelian Randomization (MR) and transcriptomics to explore the relationship between CD and BC.
Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic inflammatory autoimmune disease lacking effective treatments without adverse effects. Dimethyloxallyl glycine (DMOG) enhanced mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) capabilities, but it remains unclear how DMOG-pretreatment of MSCs augments their SLE treatment. Here, we explore the therapeutic potential of DMOG-pretreated human umbilical cord MSCs (hUC-MSCs) in a mouse lupus nephritis (LN) model.

However, there are no fast analytical techniques for febuxostat yet. Herein, an efficient hapten simulation strategy was proposed to successfully produce a highly sensitive and selective monoclonal antibody toward febuxostat.

A rapid synchronous detection method is urgently needed. Herein, the precise design of four novel haptens based on the general skeleton of BSO and BSOA was driven by computer-chemical visualization strategy, which was used to raise monoclonal antibody (mAb) toward both target compounds.

Herein, four novel haptens based on the general epitope shared among the OPHs were raised by computer-aided chemical modeling prediction, with the expectation of eliciting antibody responses targeting three of the OPHs. One obtained monoclonal antibody (mAb) showed maximal half-inhibitory concentration (IC) of 0.
