Metal-organic cage-based crystalline frameworks (MCFs) are distinguished for high porosity and diverse functionality, while their applications are constrained by degradation in wet environments. Inspired by the "fight fire with fire" method in traditional Chinese medicine, trace-water-induced synthesis of armors is proposed to stabilize MCFs. Water at ppm concentration is enriched on the hydrophilic surface of MCFs, and then polymerizes with diisocyanate under the catalysis of MCFs to form hydrophobic shells.

Accurate quantification of rivaroxaban concentration is essential in some specific clinical situations. A prospective study was conducted to compare the rivaroxaban concentration measured by Zhenyuan anti-Xa assay with that by reference methods (ultrahigh performance liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry [UHPLC-MS/MS] and Biophen DiXal) in 243 plasma samples from 182 patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation. Zhenyuan anti-Xa assays demonstrated less bias versus reference methods in samples with concentrations exceeding 50 μg/L compared to those in the < 50 μg/L group.

Background: Residual shunt after patent foramen ovale (PFO) occlusion is associated with recurrent stroke, and limited literature address the specific management of such cases. Herein we report our experience with secondary interventional treatment.
Methods: From July 2020 to January 2023, patients who underwent PFO occlusion for more than one year with residual right-to-left shunting (rRLS) screened by contrast transthoracic echocardiography (cTTE) constituted the study population.
Tacrolimus, a critical immunosuppressant in organ transplantation, is available in immediate-release (IR-T) and extended-release (ER-T) formulations. While ER-T improves patient adherence, clinical studies have not demonstrated superior outcomes compared to IR-T. However, the underlying reasons for this discrepancy remain unclear.

To obtain immunogenicity data and to active surveillance the occurrence of adverse events following immunization (AEFI), healthy infants ≥ 2 months of age were randomly chosen in Hebei Province, and were divided into three groups to be vaccinated with IPV-bOPV-bOPV(Group a), IPV-IPV-bOPV(Group b) and IPV-IPV-IPV(Group c) at 2, 3 and 4 months of age respectively. AEFI cases related to poliomyelitis vaccines in Hebei province by passive surveillance from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2022 were obtained from national adverse event following immunization surveillance system (NAEFISS).

However, the current methodology to fabricate photo-responsive sorbents is still subject to the photo-deforming molecular units. In this study, a new initiative of photo-dissociated electron-hole pairs is proposed to generate amazing adsorption activity, and prove its feasibility.

Method: Gene expression and clinical data were obtained from public databases. The prognosis was evaluated using survival, multifactor Cox, enrichment, and mutation analyses.
Nonadherence to direct oral anticoagulant (DOAC) pharmacotherapy may increase the risk of thromboembolism or bleeding, and delayed or missed doses are the most common types of nonadherence. Current recommendations from regulatory agencies or guidelines regarding this issue lack evidence and fail to consider individual differences. This study aimed to develop individual remedial dosing strategies when the dose was delayed or missed for DOACs, including rivaroxaban, apixaban, edoxaban, and dabigatran etexilate.

Background: Bacterial fruit blotch (BFB), known as the 'cancer' of cucurbits, is a seed-borne disease of melons caused by Acidovorax citrulli. Traditional chemical treatments for BFB are ineffective and adversely affect the environment. Using dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) nanosecond-pulsed plasma technology, melon seeds were treated to promote germination and growth and to control BFB.

CH-selective adsorption has big implications, while the design of CH-sorbents with ideal adsorption capability, particularly with the CH/CH-selectivity exceeded 2.0, is still challenging.

Background: Pregnant women with chronic hepatitis B (CHB) exhibit unique clinical features in terms of postpartum immune system reconstitution and recovery from pregnancy-related changes. However, current studies focus primarily on the outcomes of maternal-infant transmission and postpartum hepatitis flares. We aimed to evaluate the profiles of hepatitis B core-related antigen (HBcrAg) and pregenomic RNA (pgRNA) in pregnant women with CHB.

Solid base catalysts are widely used in the chemical industry owing to their advantages of environmental friendliness and easy separation. However, their application is limited by basic site aggregation and poor stability. In this study, we report the preparation of magnesium (Mg) single-atom catalysts with high activity and stability by a sublimation-trapping strategy.

Great efforts have been devoted to the study of photo-responsive adsorption, but its current methodology largely depends on the well-defined photochromic units and their photo-driven molecular deformation. Here, a methodology to fabricate nondeforming photo-responsive sorbents is successfully exploited. With C-fullerene doping in metalloporphyrin metal-organic frameworks (PCN-M, M = Fe, Co, or Ni) and intensively interacting with the metalloporphyrin sites, effective charge-transfer can be achieved over the metalloporphyrin-C architectures once excited by the light at 350 to 780 nm.

Here, we report a new type of adsorbent with photo-responsive active sites for adsorptive desulfurization. Coumarin monomers were incorporated in MIL-101(Cr) to construct the photo-responsive adsorbents by coordinating with unsaturated chromium sites.

Despite great efforts, exploration of porous hosts and bulky solvents is still needed to develop new PL systems. Metal-organic polyhedra (MOPs) with discrete molecular architectures can be considered as porous hosts; however, many of them are insoluble entities.

Cu can interact with molecules possessing unsaturated bonds like CO via π-complexation, while Cu doesn't have such ability. Meanwhile, Cu sites are easily oxidized to Cu , leading to the loss of activity.
