Herein, based on the preparation of sulfonation cellulose (SC) and sequential synthesis of corresponding SC based hydrogel (SC-SAH) by crosslinking the above-formed SC derivative with sodium alginate (SA), a novel double-coated SRF with urea granules as core was developed by utilizing polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) as internal coating and the SC-SAH as external coating (SC-SAH/PMMA@Urea-SRF). The optimization on the preparation conditions of the hydrogels and SRFs together with the comprehensive characterizations demonstrate that SC-SAH possesses a higher swelling capacity and hydrophilicity.

A dual-metal orbital engineering strategy is developed to synergistically optimize active site reactivity and bulk-phase stability through precise d-band center modulation and enhanced charge transfer kinetics. Specifically, a flower-like NiMn selenide nanoarchitecture, modified with silver nanoparticles and sulfur-doped carbon quantum dots (Ag/NiSe/MnSe/S-CQDs), is fabricated via controlled spin state regulation. The asymmetric configuration between NiSe and MnSe induces a significant elevation in the energy levels of Ni's e and t orbitals, thereby optimizing intermediate conductivity, e orbital electron occupancy, and adsorption free energy.

Developing a selective colorimetric assay for fluoroquinolones (FQs) that show visible color response is highly desired, which is challenging because FQs show extremely similarity in structure and inherently absorb light in the UV color range. In this work, a selective colorimetric assay for pefloxacin (PEF) was fabricated through integrating two rection systems: the inhibition effects of PEF on the AChE-like activities of Al decorated MOF-808 (MOF-808-Al) and the thiol-response oxidase-mimicking reaction of MnO nanosheets. The MnO nanosheets, due to their oxidase-mimicking properties, can oxidize the colorless 3, 3', 5, 5'-tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) into its blue-colored oxidized form, TMB.

In this paper, novel triphenylamine (TPA)-based photosensitizers (, , , and ) with a donor-π-acceptor (D-π-A) structure are developed for dye-sensitized solar cells by rearrangement of planar thiophene and thienothiophene with a benzene ring as a π-bridging chain. Density functional theory calculations are performed to obtain the HOMO-LUMO electron cloud density distribution, dipole moment (μ), intermolecular torsion angle (θ), three-dimensional (3D) molecular structure, and electrostatic potential surface (ESP) maps of the dyes. The effects of π-bridge chain rearrangement and dye cosensitization on the photophysical, electrochemical, and photovoltaic properties of the devices are investigated through experiment analysis.

Most transition metal-based electrocatalysts, when used for the oxygen evolution reaction (OER), undergo significant restructuring under alkaline conditions, forming localized oxides/hydroxides (MOOH), which act as the real active centers, activating adjacent metal sites and creating new active sites that enhance electrocatalytic behavior. Nevertheless, inducing rapid and in-depth self-reconstruction of catalyst surfaces remains a huge challenge. Herein, this work achieves rapid and in-depth self-reconstruction by doping fluorine into the lattice of transition metal oxides (MO).

When a hypersonic seeker flies at high speed within the atmosphere, intense interaction with the incoming flow gradually develops into a complex turbulent flow field. This interaction results in complex thermal responses at the seeker window, causing aerodynamic optical effects such as image shift, jitter, and blur of the target image, thereby restricting the seeker's detection capability and accuracy. This paper uses a numerical simulation model for the guidance performance of a hypersonic seeker under aerodynamic optical transmission effects.
