Organophosphate pesticides (OPs) remain essential yet controversial in global agriculture, demanding an urgent resolution of their efficacy-environmental protection paradox. This review provides an in-depth analysis of the toxicity mechanisms of OPs, primarily through oxidative stress induction, acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibition-mediated neurotoxicity, endocrine disruption, and multiorgan pathological effects. We highlight promising mitigation strategies, including natural antioxidants, advanced neuroprotective agents, neuroinflammatory inhibitors, nutraceutical interventions, and others, which synergistically alleviate the toxicity of OPs.

The dissemination of antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) poses a major global public health challenge, yet transmission mechanisms within extreme ecosystems are poorly understood. Using metagenomics and metagenome-assembled genome (MAG) analysis, we investigated ARG composition, risk, and pathways across a complete Qinghai-Tibet Plateau food chain (soil, earthworm, herbage, yak, pika, snowfinch, herdsman). Contrary to conventional theory, ARG assemblages correlated negatively with microbial diversity.

Herein, we present a novel collagen-based packaging film that exhibits remarkable antioxidant activity, outstanding oxygen barrier properties, and exceptional mechanical strength. This film was developed by incorporating a combination of cellulose microfibrils (CMF) with modification of the metal-polyphenol network (MPN). The novelty lies in the application of CF with natural, layered, biodegradable, and renewable properties as a substrate and in situ loading of CMF-MPN complex to solve the problems of poor barrier and mechanical properties of CF, meeting the requirements of high antioxidant capacity, mechanical strength, and barrier properties in the food packaging field.

The effects of incorporating yeast culture (YC) into pelleted feeds on sheep production and the potential impact on rumen microbial populations, microbial metabolism, and fermentation have not been extensively studied. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of YC on growth performance, rumen tissue development, rumen fermentation, and rumen microflora in sheep and to explore the potential microbial mechanisms involved. Fifty healthy 3-month-old male lambs of small-tailed Han sheep, with an average weight of 28.

Objectives: To compare the adaptation of maxillary removable partial denture (RPD) frameworks fabricated through direct digital workflows with that of traditional cast frameworks and indirect digital frameworks.

Methods: The workflow for fabricating the digital cobalt-chromium framework encompassed intraoral scanning (IOS) using Trios 3, computer-aided survey and design, and subsequently either the lost-wax technique from a printed resin framework pattern (Framework B) or direct selective laser melting (SLM) (Framework C). The traditional cast framework (Framework A) was selected as a control.

To investigate the impact of maternal microbiota during lactation in different beef cattle breeds on their own immune levels, milk quality, and the growth and development of their offspring, this study measured the immune parameters, intestinal microbiota diversity, and milk quality of Pingliang red cattle and Simmental cattle, and performed a correlation analysis with the growth and development of their offspring. Our study showed that during lactation, Pingliang red cattle had significantly higher IL-6 levels than Simmental cattle, while the latter exhibited higher levels of immune factors such as IgG, IgA, IgM, IL-1β, and TNFα. The analysis of the intestinal microbiota of lactating cows found that Pingliang red cattle were rich in and , while Simmental cattle had a higher proportion of Actinobacteria.

Lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) is a leading cause of cancer‑related death due to its aggressive nature and metastatic potential. The present study aimed to explore the expression of phospholipid phosphatase 2 (PPAP2C) in LUAD, and its effect on cell migration and invasion, with a particular focus on its association with the ERK/JNK signaling pathway and epithelial‑mesenchymal transition (EMT). The expression of PPAP2C in LUAD was analyzed using data from The Cancer Genome Atlas database.

Background: The microbiota and metabolites in the gastrointestinal tracts of female animals at different reproductive periods are very important to the growth, development, and health of themselves and their offspring. However, the changes in the gastrointestinal microbiota and metabolites throughout reproductive period of different sheep breeds and their effects on the growth and development of offspring lambs are still unclear. Hence, this study presents an assessment of the reproductive hormone levels, immune levels, rumen microbiota, and metabolites in Hu sheep and Suffolk ewes at different reproductive periods and their effects on the growth and development of offspring lambs.

  • Tetracycline hydrochloride (TCH) poses health risks due to its biological toxicity, prompting the need for effective materials to break it down in wastewater.
  • The research developed a catalyst called tricobalt tetraoxide loaded P-doped biochar (Co NP-PBC), which activates peroxymonosulfate (PMS) to degrade TCH efficiently, achieving over 99.0% degradation in just 20 minutes.
  • The study identified degradation pathways and predicted the toxicity of intermediate products, highlighting the role of non-free radical oxidation of O in TCH degradation, and suggesting BC-based catalysts can enhance wastewater treatment.

The triply periodic minimal surface (TPMS) is a highly useful structure for bone tissue engineering owing to its nearly nonexistent average surface curvature, high surface area-to-volume ratio, and exceptional mechanical energy absorption properties. However, limited literature is available regarding bionic zirconia implants using the TPMS structure for bone regeneration. Herein, we employed the digital light processing (DLP) technology to fabricate four types of zirconia-based TPMS structures: P-cell, S14, IWP, and Gyroid.

Our study identified a novel long noncoding RNA, LINC01322, that acts as an oncogene in lung adenocarcinoma progression. Cytoplasmic and nuclear RNA purification assays indicated that LINC01322 was localized in the cytoplasm and nucleus. Gene set enrichment analysis revealed the involvement of LINC01322 in the regulation of cell proliferation, migration, and the Janus kinase/signal transducer and activator of transcription (JAK/STAT) signaling pathway.
