Purpose: Stem cell transplantation (SCT) has historically played a major role in the long-term remission of mantle cell lymphoma (MCL), an incurable hematological malignancy. Using data from the Korean Society of Bone and Marrow Transplantation registry, we retrospectively analyzed the role of autologous (auto) and allogeneic (allo) SCT in long-term MCL survival.
Methods: This study analyzed data from 188 patients (age ≥ 19 years at the time of transplantation) who underwent a transplant for MCL from 2011 to 2020.
Introduction: This post hoc analysis investigated the efficacy and safety of momelotinib in the Asian subpopulation of MOMENTUM (NCT04173494).
Methods: Patients were randomized 2:1 to momelotinib 200 mg once daily (QD) plus danazol placebo (momelotinib group) or danazol 600 mg QD plus momelotinib placebo (danazol group) for 24 weeks (W), after which they could receive open-label momelotinib or danazol.
Primary Endpoint: W24 total symptom score (TSS) response rate (≥ 50% reduction from baseline).

Background: Lenalidomide-based triplet regimens, specifically carfilzomib, lenalidomide, and dexamethasone (KRd) and ixazomib, lenalidomide, and dexamethasone (IRd), are recognized as effective treatments for relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma (RRMM). Since 2020, South Korea's National Health Insurance Service has covered these combinations, prompting a need for real-world comparisons of their efficacy and safety.
Methods: A retrospective analysis of 182 RRMM patients treated with KRd (112) or IRd (70) at 17 South Korean centers from May 2020 to April 2021 was conducted.
This study aimed to assess the efficacy and safety of combining cemiplimab, an anti-programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) antibody, with isatuximab, an anti-CD38 antibody, in relapsed or refractory extranodal natural killer/T-cell lymphoma (R/R ENKTL). The hypothesis was that CD38 blockade could enhance the antitumor activity of PD-1 inhibitors. Eligible patients received cemiplimab (250 mg on days 1 and 15) and isatuximab (10 mg/kg on days 2 and 16) IV every 4 weeks for 6 cycles.

Aqueous zinc-ion batteries (AZIBs) are highly attractive as energy-storage systems owing to their inherent safety, low cost, and simple assembly processes. However, the growth of Zn dendrites and side reactions at the Zn metal anode significantly degrade their electrochemical performance. To address these challenges, this study introduces a surface modification that increases the lifespan and cycling stability of AZIBs by constructing an artificial zinc sulfide (ZnS) protective layer on the Zn anode.

Materials And Methods: Between September 2017 and July 2020, 29 patients with histologically confirmed CTCL received treatment, consisting of eight 4-week cycles of induction therapy followed by maintenance therapy, contingent upon response, for up to one year. The primary endpoint was the proportion of patients achieving an objective global response.
Dasatinib is a potent second-generation tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) used as a first-line treatment option for patients with chronic myeloid leukemia (CML). Currently, dose modification due to adverse events (AEs) is common in patients treated with dasatinib. This study compared the outcomes of two sequential prospective trials that enrolled patients with newly diagnosed chronic phase of CML (CP-CML) and initiated dasatinib at a starting dose of 100 mg daily.

Purpose: Programmed death-1 blockade with pembrolizumab has shown promising activity in relapsed/refractory (R/R) extranodal natural killer/T-cell lymphoma (NKTCL), but studies are limited, with small patient numbers.
Materials And Methods: Thirteen institutes involved with the Consortium for Improving Survival of Lymphoma, a Korean lymphoma study group, collected the clinical data of 59 patients treated with pembrolizumab as salvage therapy between 2016 and 2022.
Results: The median age of the patients was 60 years (range, 22 to 87 years), and 76.
Introduction: Upfront autologous stem cell transplantation (ASCT) has been recommended for patients who are newly diagnosed with peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL), and CHOP (cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, and prednisone), an anthracycline-based chemotherapy has been the frontline chemotherapy for PTCL. However, it is not clear whether anthracycline-based chemotherapies such as CHOP could be standard induction therapy for PTCL.
Methods: We conducted a randomized phase II study to compare CHOP with fractionated ifosfamide, carboplatin, etoposide, and dexamethasone (ICED) for patients eligible for ASCT.
Despite the development of effective agents for multiple myeloma (MM), the management of patients with high-risk MM (HRMM) is challenging. High-dose treatment followed by autologous stem cell transplantation (ASCT) is regarded as upfront treatment for transplant-eligible patients with HRMM. In the present study, we retrospectively investigated the efficacies of two conditioning regimens for upfront ASCT in newly diagnosed patients with MM and high-risk features: high-dose melphalan (HDMEL; 200 mg/m) and busulfan plus melphalan (BUMEL).

Sulfur is a prospective material for next-generation batteries with high theoretical capacity, but its drawbacks hinder its commercialization. To overcome the low conductivity of natural sulfur and the shuttle effect of lithium polysulfide, the study proposes a novel sulfur film coated with three-dimensional nitrogen and cobalt-codoped polyhedral carbon wrapped on a multiwalled carbon nanotube sponge (3D-S@NCoCPC sponge) composite as a high-performance cathode material for rechargeable lithium-sulfur batteries. The interconnected conductive carbon network with abundant pores provides more room for the homogeneous distribution of sulfur within the composite and creates a favorable pathway for electrolyte permeability and lithium-ion diffusion.
