Acacia gum is a natural heteropolysaccharide derived from Acacia senegal and Acacia seyal. It has gained significant attention due to its unique macromolecular structure and functional biopolymer properties. This review critically evaluates its role in biomedical, pharmaceutical, and industrial applications, with emphasis on the molecular mechanisms that influence its interactions with biological and synthetic systems, especially the arabinogalactan polysaccharide complex of Acacia gum, which facilitates the electrostatic and hydrogen bonding interactions, influencing nanoparticle stability, drug delivery, and hydrogel formation.

Human papillomavirus (HPV) is the most common sexually transmitted infection and plays a significant role in cervical, penile, anal, vaginal, vulvar, and oropharyngeal cancers as well as non-cancerous genital warts and genital dysplasia. In the United States, there are approximately 46,000 new HPV-related cancers a year. There is an effective vaccine to prevent over 90% of these cancers and other HPV-related diseases; however, those that are aged 18-26 have the lowest vaccine rates among eligible age groups.

While the effects of the pandemic on the mental health of college students can vary across race and gender, few studies have explored the role of hardships and university assistance in these disparities, as well as how these disparities can manifest themselves differently across intersections of race and gender. We address this gap by using unique survey data ( = 417) from two large graduate schools of social work, public health, and social policy in the United States. Using multi-group structural equation modeling, we explore how material hardships, academic hardships, and university assistance needed mediates the relationship between race and mental health, including depression and anxiety.
