Gastric cancer peritoneal metastasis (GCPM) is an aggressive condition with poor survival, underscoring the need for new therapeutic targets. This study investigates the role of ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme E2 D2 (UBE2D2) in gastric cancer (GC). Analysis of clinical samples revealed that UBE2D2 is overexpressed in GC tissues and correlates with poor prognosis.

Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC) is a highly aggressive malignancy with poor prognosis and limited therapeutic options. N6-methyladenosine (m A) RNA modification plays a role in tumorigenesis, but its contributions to ESCC and the regulation of cell adhesion molecules such as Nectin-4 are not fully elucidated. In this study, we investigate the role and the regulatory mechanisms of Nectin-4 in ESCC, particularly regarding the influence of m A modification and its downstream metabolic effects.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFN6-methyladenosine (mA) RNA methylation and circular RNA have been demonstrated to exert a crucial role in diverse malignant tumors, such as esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). Nevertheless, the precise regulatory mechanism through which mA-modified circRNA impacts ESCC remains to be elucidated. Herein, we discovered that the methyltransferase Wilms' tumor 1-associated protein (WTAP) is highly expressed in ESCC and is correlated with a poor prognosis.

For adenocarcinoma of esophagogastric junction (AEG), developing a preoperative CT-based prediction model for AEG invasion and lymph node metastasis is crucial.
Methods: We retrospectively collected 256 patients with AEG from two centres.
Early detection through screening is critical for reducing gastric cancer (GC) mortality. However, in most high-prevalence regions, large-scale screening remains challenging due to limited resources, low compliance and suboptimal detection rate of upper endoscopic screening. Therefore, there is an urgent need for more efficient screening protocols.

Traditional methods for spatial domain identification primarily rely on gene expression data from sampled spots in low-resolution spatial transcriptomic data, often overlooking valuable information between spots that can be crucial for domain identification. Furthermore, these methods are limited by their focus on gene expression data from neighboring spots, without fully integrating prior knowledge of cell types within the tissue's spatial structure.

Circular RNAs (circRNAs) are increasingly recognized as regulators of cancer progression, primarily through miRNA sponging and interactions with RNA-binding proteins. Their dysregulation has been linked to the development of in various cancers.

However, specific guidelines for such treatment in elderly gastric cancer (GC) patients are currently lacking. This study examines the impact of adjuvant chemotherapy on the postoperative survival of these patients.

However, the role of GPX4 in gastric cancer (GC) is unclear. Spectral flow cytometry and multiplex immunohistochemistry were employed to assess the correlation between GPX4 expression and immune cell infiltration.

Method: A retrospective real-world cohort study was conducted using data from Zhejiang Cancer Hospital on gastric cancer patients treated between 2010 and 2019. Patients were divided into perioperative SOX and postoperative SOX or XELOX groups.
Aqueous Zn-iodine (Zn-I) batteries are considered to be potential energy storage systems due to their safety, environmental friendliness, and cost-effectiveness. However, the shuttle effect of polyiodide leads to cathode active mass loss and anode Zn corrosion, which greatly reduces the cycle life of Zn-I batteries. Herein, we report an N-modified alternating copolymer nanoflower composite (NH-NFs-PDA) as a new type of iodine host candidate to effectively inhibit the polyiodide shuttle effect in Zn-I battery.

Glutathione peroxidase 4 (GPx4), a key regulator of ferroptosis and redox homeostasis, contributes to progression and influences patient survival. However, the molecular mechanism by which GPx4 drives GC progression has not been fully illuminated.

The cytoskeleton is closely related to cell morphology and movement; however, little research has been conducted on ESCC metastasis. In this study, we found that the anchoring filament protein ladinin 1 (LAD1) specifically binds to LINC01305 for co-regulating the level of modulating cortactin proteins (CTTN) and neuronal Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome protein (N-WASP) phosphorylation, which mediates cytoskeletal reorganization and affects the metastasis of ESCC cells.

Metabolism serves not only as the organism's energy source but also yields metabolites crucial for maintaining tissue homeostasis and overall health. Intestinal stem cells (ISCs) maintain intestinal homeostasis through continuous self-renewal and differentiation divisions. The intricate relationship between metabolic pathways and intestinal homeostasis underscores their crucial interplay.

Unlabelled: RNA sequencing (RNAseq) technology has become increasingly important in precision medicine and clinical diagnostics, and emerged as a powerful tool for identifying protein-coding genes, performing differential gene analysis, and inferring immune cell composition. Human peripheral blood samples are widely used for RNAseq, providing valuable insights into individual biomolecular information. Blood samples can be classified as whole blood (WB), plasma, serum, and remaining sediment samples, including plasma-free blood (PFB) and serum-free blood (SFB) samples that are generally considered less useful byproducts during the processes of plasma and serum separation, respectively.
