Cholangiocarcinoma (CCA), a cancer with a relatively low incidence rate, is usually associated with poor prognosis. Current modalities for the diagnosis and treatment of CCA patients are still far from satisfactory. In recent years, numerous long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been identified as crucial players in the development of various cancers, including CCA.

Bilayer ternary solar cells are a kind of novel organic photovoltaic device with a triple-component active layer but are different from the ternary bulk heterojunction (BHJ) blend. Two binary BHJs with a common acceptor (or donor) are deposited sequentially in this kind of device. Here, we study the fabrication and optimization of bilayer ternary solar cells using metal phthalocyanine donors and fullerene acceptor.

Adults with newly diagnosed AML ineligible for intensive chemotherapy were enrolled in an open-label, non-randomized, multicenter phase 1b trial of venetoclax with azacitidine (AZA; 75 mg/m ; days 1-7) or decitabine (DEC; 20 mg/m ; days 1-5). Endpoints included safety, response rates (complete remission [CR], CR with incomplete blood count recovery [CRi]), response duration and overall survival (OS).

Uracil-DNA glycosylase (UDG) is a protein enzyme that initiates the base excision repair pathway for maintaining genome stability. Sensitive detection of UDG activity is important in the study of many biochemical processes and clinical applications. Here, a method for detecting UDG is proposed by integrating magnetic separation and real-time ligation chain reaction (LCR).

Combining biomass pyrolysis with microwave heating technologies provides a novel and efficient approach for low-grade pyrolusite reduction. The microwave reduction behavior and pyrolysis kinetic characteristics of walnut shell-pyrolusite blends were explored. Results indicated the optimal reduction parameters were: reduction temperature of 650 °C, holding time of 30 min, M/M of 1.

Bidirectional ultrafast fiber lasers capable of generating counter-propagating (CP) coherent solitons are promising to be served as a dual-comb light source for the applications in spectroscopy and gyroscope. In the absence of efficient numerical model, the understanding of the operation of bidirectional fiber lasers is very limited. In this paper, we experimentally explore the pulsating dynamics of CP solitons in a bidirectional mode locked fiber laser and present a set of rich complex dynamics of CP solitons, revealing for the first time, to the best of our knowledge, the periodic breathing and acyclic pulsating dynamics of CP solitons.

Methods: This study was a retrospective review of 57 patients with AOPA who underwent reimplantation of the pulmonary artery (PA) from 2009 to 2019.
Introduction: Fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT), administering fecal suspensions via a nasoduodenal tube, has achieved a promising effect in the treatment of intestinal graft-versus-host disease (GvHD) in some pilot studies. In this study, oral FMT capsules from unrelated donor were used for the first time in the treatment of intestinal GvHD. Patient concerns: A 31-year-old male who was diagnosed as "myelodysplastic syndromes with excess blasts II" (intermediate risk 2 of international prognostic scoring system) received human leukocyte antigen -matched sibling donor allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.

Understanding the degradation of pentachlorophenol (PCP) by indigenous microorganisms stimulated by an electron donor and shuttle in paddy soil, and the influences of PCP/electron donor/shuttle on the native microbial community are important for biodegradation and ecological and environmental safety. Previous studies focused on the kinetics and the microbial actions of PCP degradation, however, the effects of toxic and antimicrobial PCP and electron donor/shuttle on the microbial community diversity and composition in paddy soil are poorly understood. In this study, the effects of PCP, an electron donor (lactate), and the electron shuttle (anthraquinone-2, 6-disulfonate, AQDS) on the microbial community in paddy soil were investigated.

Materials And Methods: The Japanese Ministry of Health (JMH) criteria and the Z-score criteria from 2004 American Heart Association guidelines were adopted and their detective efficacies for CAAs were compared in 251 Chinese patients with KD Z scores were calculated by 6 published methods.
The accumulation of apoptotic cells is one of the pathological characteristics of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). The expression of urokinase-type plasminogen activator receptor (uPAR) has been reported to be increased in SLE patients and to be involved in macrophage efferocytosis. Although the toll-like receptor 7 (TLR7) is also over-expressed in lupus, its relationship to uPAR and its role in macrophage efferocytosis in lupus is still unclear.

A static structural model and a ray optics model are proposed in this paper for analyses of force/strain sensitivity and fringe contrast. The models proposed show that the sensitivity and fringe contrast of FPIs with spheroidal cavities can be controlled through the dimensions of the spheroids.

Background: The internal rural-to-urban migration is one of the major challenges for tuberculosis (TB) control in China. Patient costs incurred during TB diagnosis and treatment could cause access and adherence barriers, particularly among migrants. Here, we estimated the prevalence of catastrophic costs of TB patients and its associated factors in an urban population with internal migrants in China.

Gastric cancer (GC) is one of the most common malignant neoplasms of the digestive system, with China leading in terms of morbidity and mortality rates. Betulinic acid (BA) is a widely-occurring pentacyclic triterpenoid that has been reported to exhibit potent anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antitumor activities. BA can combat tumors by inducing apoptosis, regulating cell cycle, and inhibiting autophagy, but its mechanism of action in the context of GC is unclear.

Our objective was to determine the prognostic significance of removed and metastatic pelvic lymph node status and further perform risk stratification in patients with stage IIIC1p cervical cancer.
Patients And Methods: Patients with stage IIIC1p cervical cancer and undergoing radical hysterectomy with lymphadenectomy in 2008-2018 were retrospectively analyzed.
Tailoring the doping of semiconductors in heterojunction solar cells shows tremendous success in enhancing the performance of many types of inorganic solar cells, while it is found challenging in perovskite solar cells because of the difficulty in doping perovskites in a controllable way. Here, a small molecule of 4,4',4″,4″'-(pyrazine-2,3,5,6-tetrayl) tetrakis (N,N-bis(4-methoxyphenyl) aniline) (PT-TPA) which can effectively p-dope the surface of FA MA PbI (FA: HC(NH ) ; MA: CH NH ) perovskite films is reported. The intermolecular charge transfer property of PT-TPA forms a stabilized resonance structure to accept electrons from perovskites.

Background: The follicular lymphoma (FL) microenvironment is composed of follicular dendritic cells (FDCs), tumor-infiltrating CD4/CD8+ T cells (TILs), follicular regulatory T (Treg) cells, lymphoma-associated macrophages (LAMs), and immune checkpoint-related immune cells, all of which are relevant in the prognosis of FL, but their results remain controversial. Therefore, we performed this systematic review to explore the relationship between the FL microenvironment and prognosis.
Methods: Relevant studies were identified from PubMed, EMBASE and the Cochrane Library.
