Ultraviolet (UV) radiation-induced photodamage remains a critical dermatological challenge, necessitating natural alternatives to synthetic photo-protectants. This study aimed to evaluate the anti-photodamage potential of fermented Sphagnum moss filtrate (SMFF) through integrated metabolomic, cellular and in vivo analyses. Untargeted metabolomics identified 933 metabolites, with fermentation significantly enriching taurine, glycine derivatives and phenolic acids while activating glycine/serine and taurine/hypotaurine metabolic pathways critical for redox homeostasis.

In the research on lateral vented explosions of gasoline vapor-air mixtures in pipelines with different opening pressures, the paper conducts a numerical simulation study of gasoline vapor-air mixture explosions in a rectangular pipeline with a length-to-diameter ratio of 15. By analyzing the explosion flame morphology, unburned fuel gas distribution, flow field structure, and overpressure variation characteristics, the results reveal that there are two different explosion modes with and without constraints, forming five typical overpressure peaks: , , , , and . There is a strong dynamic coupling relationship among explosion flame behavior, unburned fuel gas distribution, and flow field structure.

A pair of positively charged stable isotope labeling (SIL) agents, (4-carbonochloridoylphenyl)-trimethylazanium iodide (-CCPTA) and -CCPTA, were designed and synthesized. These agents were employed in the precolumn labeling of advanced glycation end products (AGEs) within 5 min under mild conditions. Annexin A2 (ANXA2) has been found to be involved in cancer proliferation, metastasis and prognosis; however, its exact role in nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) radioresistance remains unknown. We found that ANXA2 expression was correlated with prognosis in NPC patients, and longer overall survival in NPC patients with low ANXA2 expression than those with high ANXA2 expression. ANXA2 knockdown increased the radiosensitivity in radioresistant NPC cells, and ANXA2 overexpression decreased the radiosensitivity in NPC cells.

Non-coding RNAs have been shown to play important regulatory roles, notably in cancer development. In this study, we investigated the role of microRNAs and circular RNAs in Nasopharyngeal Carcinoma (NPC) by constructing a circRNA-miRNA-mRNA co-expression network and performing differential expression analysis on mRNAs, miRNAs, and circRNAs. Specifically, the Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection has been found to be an important risk factor for NPC, and potential pathological differences may exist for EBV+ and EBV- subtypes of NPC.
