The integration of crop models and remote sensing data has become a useful method for monitoring crop growth status and crop yield based on data assimilation. The objective of this study was to use leaf area index (LAI) values and plant nitrogen accumulation (PNA) values generated from spectral indices to calibrate the Decision Support System for Agrotechnology Transfer (DSSAT) model using the Monte Carlo Markov Chain (MCMC) technique. The initial management parameters, including sowing date, sowing rate, and nitrogen rate, are recalibrated based on the relationship between the remote sensing state variables and the simulated state variables.

To enhance the biocompatibility and drug delivery efficiency of graphene oxide (GO), poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG), poly(3-hydroxybutyrate-co-3-hydroxyvalerate) (PHBV), or its triblock copolymer PEG-PHBV-PEG (PPP) were used to chemically modify GO. However, it is still unknown whether non-toxic polymer-modified GO mediates muscle toxicity or triggers intramuscular inflammation. This study sought to substitute the commonly used carbohydrate, namely, maltodextrin (MD), with indigestible soluble dietary fibers (SDF) including inulin (IN), resistant dextrin (RSD) and xylo-oligosaccharides (XOS), and combine with whey protein isolate to encapsulate edible oil (coconut oil as an example). The effects of different SDF with concentrations ranging from 0 to 18 % on characteristics of emulsion and microcapsules were investigated. The results showed the optimum concentration of SDF was 9 %.

Phosphatidylserine (PtdS) is classified as a glycerophospholipid and a primary anionic phospholipid and is particularly abundant in the inner leaflet of the plasma membrane in neural tissues. It is synthesized from phosphatidylcholine or phosphatidylethanolamine by exchanging the base head group with serine, and this reaction is catalyzed by PtdS synthase-1 and PtdS synthase-2 located in the endoplasmic reticulum. However, the proliferative and apoptotic effects of CGRP on bone marrow-derived endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) have not been investigated.
