Cisplatin resistance continues to be a major obstacle in the treatment of ovarian cancer (OC). Gap junction protein β-2 (GJB2), a key member of the connexin family, is well-known for its association with hereditary deafness. However, its role in ovarian cancer chemotherapy resistance remains unexplored.

We conducted a global meta-analysis encompassing 2410 observations from 249 microbial necromass studies and 786 observations from 72 plant residue studies. The results showed that the content of microbial-derived C (10.

The microbial entombing effect refers to the accumulation and stabilisation of microbially derived carbon (C) in soils following the sustained production of microbial biomass and necromass. Fertilisation practices modify soil microbial activity and C cycling and consequently influence the microbial entombing effect, which has implications for global C sequestration. We conducted a global meta-analysis to evaluate the impact of fertilisation practices on the microbial entombing effect, focusing on microbial necromass C (MNC), microbial biomass C (MBC) and the microbial necromass accumulation coefficient (NAC = MNC/MBC) across 319, 1665 and 199 paired datasets, respectively.

The Bohai SZ36-1 oilfield, the largest offshore oilfield in China, features a high-porosity, high-permeability reservoir with significant heterogeneity and permeability variations. After extended water injection, the reservoir's pore structure evolved, increasing heterogeneity and reducing the effectiveness of traditional production methods. To address these issues, this study introduces an intelligent diversion and balanced unblocking technology, using a temperature-controlled diversion system to block dominant flow channels and ensure even distribution of treatment fluids while maintaining reservoir integrity.

This study proposes an integrated framework for resilience assessment of transportation networks, where the highway disruption scenarios are simulated using a traffic model and a developed geohazard threat model based on real-world datasets. In the framework, we provide a resilience-oriented indicator that integrates traffic flow and geohazard threat, upon which to identify critical elements of the highway network and the geohazard-prone sites.

A bunching system utilizing a heterodyne combiner is designed to generate a sawtooth waveform with three harmonics to increase the beam current intensity of medical cyclotron accelerators. The design incorporates a low-pass filter, helical bandpass filters, and a broadband matching network, producing a sawtooth waveform exceeding 1200 V, which meets the requirements for efficient bunching. This buncher substitutes the design and manufacturing requirements for high linearity broadband power amplifiers with three narrowband single-frequency power amplifiers for amplification.

In this study, we found that crude polysaccharides derived from by-products of Ganoderma lucidum can effectively prevent and control the Tomato Yellow Leaf Curl Virus (TYLCV). As a result, we isolated and purified a homogeneous polysaccharide known as glucan-like peptide (GLP1), from crude polysaccharide of G.

transglutaminase (smTG) can be used for site-specific labeling of proteins with chemical groups. Here, we explored the use of modified smTG for the biosynthesis of nanobody-fluorophore conjugates (NFC). smTG catalyzes the conjugation of acyl donors containing glutamine with lysine-containing acceptors, which can lead to non-specific cross-linking.

Background: Pear yield is a primary source of income for smallholder farmers in China, yet significant yield disparities exist among different smallholders. Systematic analyses of limiting factors and the feasibility of solutions at the smallholder level are limited. This study employs a novel DEED (Describe, Explain, Explore, and Design) research cycle centered on smallholders to formulate yield-improving strategies.

In this study, a large-scale molecular/atomic parallel processor LAMMPS was introduced, and then the process of magnetron sputtering technology in the preparation of DLC/Ni-DLC thin films on the 42CrMo substrate material was simulated. The effects of deposition parameters such as sputtering temperature, sputtering voltage, deposition air pressure, and Ni doping on the residual stress, film base bonding, and organizational structure of the thin films were investigated.

Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in women. Among all types, triple-negative breast cancer is particularly challenging to cure because of its high recurrence rates and invasive and metastatic capacity. Although numerous studies have explored the role of TP53 mutations in cancer, there is a dearth of research regarding the correlation between TP53 mutations and breast cancer cell proliferation.

Through the selection of chelating agent, cleaning agent, and acid concentration, as well as the optimization of different process parameters, the "dispersion-chelation-dissolution" composite unblocking technology is proposed, and a set of unblocking formula systems for complex sulfur and iron scale is clarified. Finally, XRD and SEM characterization tests of the scale samples before and after dissolution were conducted to study the declogging mechanism and confirm the acid-insoluble nature of FeS and its stability in a weak acidic environment.

Accurate and quantitative identification of unbalanced force during operation is of utmost importance to reduce the impact of unbalanced force on a hypergravity centrifuge, guarantee the safe operation of a unit, and improve the accuracy of a hypergravity model test. Therefore, this paper proposes a deep learning-based unbalanced force identification model, then establishes a feature fusion framework incorporating the Residual Network (ResNet) with meaningful handcrafted features in this model, followed by loss function optimization for the imbalanced dataset. Finally, after an artificially added, unbalanced mass was used to build a shaft oscillation dataset based on the ZJU-400 hypergravity centrifuge, we used this dataset to train the unbalanced force identification model.
