The high-performance identification of insulating materials is crucial for reducing resource waste, minimizing pollution, and promoting resource recycling. To achieve this, a novel method based on laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS), named the generalized spectrum method (GSM-LIBS), was proposed in this study. Compared to traditional dimensionality reduction methods such as PCA, GSM-LIBS outperforms by integrating multiple spectral features, preserving both global and local information that may be lost in PCA-based methods.

Objective: Self-perceived burden (SPB) and Fear of progression (FoP) have been reported in people living with cancer and together may increase overall distress. Acceptance and Commitment Theory (ACT) posits that psychological flexibility (PF) may ameliorate the effects of the co-occurrence of these symptoms, yet empirical evidence is scarce. We examined the symptoms associated with SPB and FoP in women with cervical cancer and tested whether PF moderates the association.

Rice bakanae disease is a soil-borne disease mainly caused by Fusarium fujikuroi, which seriously damages the yield and quality of rice. Phenamacril targets Myosin-5, thereby inhibiting its ATPase activity to exert an antifungal effect, demonstrating significant bioactivity against Fusarium species. However, the resistance of Fusarium fujikuroi field populations to phenamacril in Jiangsu Province in recent years remains unclear.

Carbendazim is commonly used to control maize stalk rot caused by Fusarium species, and its resistance mainly arises from point mutations in the amino acids of β-tubulin. In this study, we identified two field isolates of Fusarium incarnatum resistant to carbendazim. One moderately resistant isolate, HA16R (100 μg/mL > MIC>50 μg/mL) carried a β-tubulin F167Y point mutation, while the other highly resistant isolate, HA18R (MIC >100 μg/mL) harbored a novel β-tubulin substitution at position 198-E198T.

Methods: A total of 2719 pregnant women were recruited from the "Be Resilient to Postpartum Depression" program. ACEs and depressive symptoms were assessed using validated scales.
Sodium-ion batteries (SIBs) are potential alternatives in the postlithium electrification era. However, developing practical Na storage devices that offer temperature resilience, high capacity, superior rate performance, and durability remains a significant challenge. Herein, a poly(-benzoquinono)diimidazole-linked covalent organic framework (COF; named CityU-36), prepared through polycondensation between 2,3,5,6-tetraaminobenzoquinone (TABQ) and 4,4',4″-(1,3,5-triazine-2,4,6-triyl)tribenzaldehyde (TFPT), showcases significant advantages in pushing up the ability of Na storage and wide-temperature operability in SIBs.

Conventional gel polymer electrolytes (GPEs) struggle with lithium dendrite growth and long-term cycling stability due to low ionic conductivity. A nanoconfined polymerization (NCP) strategy was employed to develop a composite GPE (PDA@CityU-43) comprising porous COF and linear polymers. The crosslinked polymer chains are confined within the nanopores of CityU-43 along c-direction, improving polymer distribution and filler-polymer compatibility.

Background: This study aimed to elucidate the symptom-symptom interactions of sleep quality, depression, and anxiety in Chinese nurses and to compare a multimorbidity group, a comorbidity group, and a healthy group via a network model.
Method: A total of 7113 Chinese nurses were recruited from sixty hospitals in January 2024, and their sleep quality, anxiety symptoms and depressive symptoms were measured using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), the Self-Rating Anxiety Scale (SAS), and the Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS), respectively. Central symptoms and bridge symptoms were identified on the basis of centrality indices and bridge centrality indices, respectively.
Strain engineering in skyrmion-hosting multilayers holds promising potential for spintronic devices. However, conventional strain is below 0.5%, limiting exploration of unique properties under substantial strain.

However, an efficient in-sensor device array with large-scale integration capability for high-density and low-power sensory processing is still lacking and highly desirable. This work introduces an adjustable broadband photothermoelectric detector based on a phase-change vanadium dioxide thin-film transistor.

The electrochemical CO reduction reaction (CORR) to high-value methanol requires the delicate design of catalysts due to the large overpotential. Especially, achieving precise modification of electrocatalysts while preserving the periodic alignment of active sites to optimize performance remains a significant challenge. Here, we report the cascaded metalation of phthalocyanine-based COFs for selective reduction of CO to methanol.

To investigate the relationship between materials structure and dynamic behavior under high-frequency electric excitation, the stroboscopic imaging mode is widely used in a transmission electron microscope (TEM). From a technical point of view, it is crucial to quantitatively determine high-frequency attenuation in an electric-pulse-excited stroboscopic TEM.

Methods: The Personalized Psychological Flexibility Index and the Self-Perceived Burden for Cancer Patients were used to measure psychological flexibility and self-perceived burden in patients from the "Be Resilient to Cancer" project. Latent profile analysis was used to identify profiles and computer-simulated network analysis was conducted to determine if self-perceived burden networked to any of the psychological flexibility profiles.

Lithium metal batteries (LMBs) are regarded as the potential alternative of lithium-ion batteries due to their ultrahigh theoretical specific capacity (3860 mAh g). However, severe instability and safety problems caused by the dendrite growth and inevitable side reactions have hindered the commercialization of LMBs. To solve them, in this contribution, a design strategy of soluble lithiophilic covalent organic frameworks (COFs) is proposed.

Design: This is a systematic review and meta-analysis, which has been registered on PROSPERO (CRD42022344679).
Setting And Participants: Patients at the end of life.
Background: Rapid on-site detection of infectious diseases is considerably essential for preventing and controlling major epidemics and maintaining social and public safety. However, the complexity of the natural environment in which infectious disease pathogens exist severely disrupts the performance of on-site detection, and rapid detection can become meaningless because of the cumbersome sample pretreatment process.
Result: Herein, a new detection platform based on a carbon sphere@FeO micromotor (CS@FeO) in combination with a graphene field-effect transistor (GFET) was designed and used for the on-site detection of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus pathogens.

Many scholars have explored the underlying mechanism of the indolent progression of GGNs from several perspectives, such as pathological type, genomic mutational characteristics, and immune microenvironment. GGNs have different major mutated genes at different stages of development; mutation is the most common mutation in GGNs, and mutation is the most abundant mutation in the invasive stage of GGNs.

Methods: From February to June 2023, convenience sampling was used to select newly diagnosed cancer patients in a tertiary Cancer Hospital in Chinese Hunan Province as the survey objects. A total of 436 cancer patients completed the Fear of Cancer Recurrence Inventory, the Meaning in Life Questionnaire, the Acceptance and Action Questionnaire-II, and the Templer's death anxiety scale.
Background: Death anxiety is thought to cause a range of mental disorders among cancer patients, which may affect their mental health and even quality of life. This study sought to investigate experiential avoidance, meaning in life, and death anxiety among Chinese cancer patients and then explore the relationship between these 3 variables.
Methods: A total of 300 cancer patients recruited from a tertiary cancer hospital participated in this study from October to December 2021.
