Head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC) is a prevalent malignancy with high mortality, and effective treatment strategies remain limited. This study investigated the effects of benzethonium chloride (BZN), an FDA-approved anti-infective agent, on HNSCC cell lines and its underlying mechanisms. BZN significantly inhibited the proliferation of HNSCC cell lines CAL27 and FaDu and induced apoptosis in both cell lines .

These disparities highlight the need for targeted interventions and tailored healthcare policies.
Objectives: To analyze global, regional, and national trends in laryngeal cancer incidence, mortality, and DALYs among older adults from 1990 to 2021 using age-period-cohort modeling and to assess the impact of demographic factors on disease burden across socio-developmental index (SDI) regions.

Methods: CT scans of 60 ears from 30 patients were analysed. We used MIMICS to obtain inner ear coordinates in CT images.
Most of advanced hypopharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (HSCC) are resistant to chemotherapy, and there is still lack of effective treatment for HSCC now. The present study aimed to investigate whether downregulation of RNA-binding motif protein 17 (RBM17) could enhance cisplatin sensitivity and inhibit cell invasion in HSCC and the underlying mechanism. We observed that RBM17 was upregulated in tumor tissues and associated with poor progression.
