Introduction: Hereditary forms of diabetes, including Maturity-Onset Diabetes of the Young (MODY) and Neonatal Diabetes Mellitus (NDM), are rare monogenic disorders caused by mutations in genes involved in pancreatic development, beta-cell function, and insulin secretion. Unlike the polygenic nature of type 1 and type 2 diabetes, these forms provide a unique model for precision medicine.
Methods: A comprehensive literature review was conducted to explore the molecular genetics, clinical features, diagnostic advancements, and therapeutic strategies related to MODY and NDM.

The technique involved freeing the implant from the pars plana, lifting it from the posterior pole with 25G+Grieshaber Maxgrip forceps and transferring it to another forceps. The implant was then realigned coaxially and successfully removed through a 25G cannula without getting it dislodged.

Background: Dengue is one of the common mosquito borne illnesses in south India and it is nearly endemic in these coastal states. In view of high incidence during monsoon season with substantial mortality, the department of Internal Medicine performed a study where serum Lactate dehydrogenase levels were used as biomarker to predict severity of dengue infection to avoid complications and mortality.
Methods: The study was an unicentric, open labelled, observational prospective study conducted in a tertiary care hospital of the coastal region.
Co-mobilizing fluoride (F) and uranium (U) into groundwater poses a drinking water quality problem globally. Competitive ion exchange with aquifer sediments has been hypothesized to cause their co-mobilization. However, this hypothesis has been postulated merely based on correlations of F and U with other groundwater parameters without characterizing that F and U were present as exchangeable in the aquifer sediments.

Methods: This retrospective multicentric, real-world study enrolled consecutive eyes with nAMD that were treated with IVI brolucizumab after it was launched in India in October 2020. Data collected for each eye included best-corrected visual acuity (BCVA), central subfield thickness (CSFT), subretinal fluid (SRF), and intraretinal fluid (IRF) status at 6, 12, and 24 months follow-up.
Reversible cerebral vasoconstriction syndrome (RCVS) is a rare neurological disorder characterized by transient constriction and dilation of cerebral arteries, leading to severe headaches and neurological deficits. This case report describes a 41-year-old woman with chronic anemia, acute chronic kidney disease, type 2 diabetes mellitus, and rheumatoid arthritis who developed RCVS following transfusion of packed red blood cells (PRBCs).
