Background: Existing classification systems for sequelae of pediatric septic arthritis of the hip (SAH) are notably complex. This study introduces a simplified radiographic classification-the Xi'an Honghui Hospital Paediatric Orthopaedic Classification (HHPO classification)-designed to enhance accuracy in treatment planning and prognostic evaluation.
Methods: A retrospective analysis was conducted involving 18 pediatric patients with SAH.

With the increasing demand for high-performance electrical equipment, particularly in power semiconductors, it is crucial to develop packaging materials with excellent insulation, thermal conductivity, and thermal stability. However, achieving simultaneous enhancement of the thermal conductivity and dielectric strength remains a significant challenge. In this work, a phenyl glycidyl ether diluent was introduced to induce ordered liquid crystalline epoxy films, yielding substantial electro-thermal improvements.

In this study, we designed a multinetwork hydrogel (GHrCT) through synergistic strategies: A robust covalent network is constructed through photocrosslinked gelatin methacryloyl, while a secondary dynamic network formed via hydrogen bonds and electrostatic interactions is established among dopamine-modified hyaluronic acid (HD), tannic acid (TA) and recombinant collagen type III (rhCol III). Through a series of experiments, we systematically characterized key properties of the hydrogel, including its microscopic morphology, swelling behavior, rheological characteristics and mechanical strength.

Background: Gastric cancer is the fifth leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide. Apatinib is a third-line treatment for gastric cancer. However, the development of resistance significantly limits its efficacy, and effective and safe strategies to overcome Apatinib resistance remain elusive.

Drug resistance remains a significant challenge in cancer therapy, and current strategies typically involve the use of P-glycoprotein (P-gp) inhibitors. Unfortunately, the rigid surface of drug-resistant cancer cell membranes and the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment severely limit the therapeutic efficacy. Here, we report a novel nanoparticle platform named DOX@CM@M, which can efficiently reverse tumor resistance through cholesterol depletion, while robustly enhancing antitumor effects by activating innate immunity.

Methods: The data of inpatients with pulmonary TB were collected from a tertiary hospital located in Southeastern China from July 2019 to December 2023. The included patients were divided into the modeling group and the validation group.
FOXP3-expressing regulatory T (T) cells play a pivotal role in maintaining immune homeostasis and tolerance, with their activation being crucial for preventing various inflammatory responses. However, the mechanisms governing the epigenetic program in T cells during their dynamic activation remain unclear. In this study, we demonstrate that CXXC-finger protein 1 (CXXC1) interacts with the transcription factor FOXP3 and facilitates the regulation of target genes by modulating H3K4me3 deposition.

SIRT7, a NAD+-dependent histone deacetylase, has emerged as a key regulator in PCa progression due to its roles in chromatin remodeling, DNA repair, and transcriptional regulation. Analysis of 492 PCa samples from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) via cBioPortal revealed that high SIRT7 expression is associated with poor prognosis in PCa patients.

Multidrug resistance (MDR) facilitates tumor recurrence and metastasis, which has become a main cause of chemotherapy failure in clinical. However, the current therapeutic effects against MDR remain unsatisfactory, mainly hampered by the rigid structure of drug-resistant cell membranes and the uncontrolled drug release. In this study, based on a sequential drug release strategy, we engineered a core-shell nanoparticle (DOX-M@CaP@ATV@HA) depleting cholesterol for reverse tumor MDR.

In this study, artificial intervention was used to induced molting (IM) in aged hens and improve their egg- laying performance. Jejunal lipophagy and lipid metabolism data were analyzed to elucidate the regulatory mechanisms by which the intestine affects egg production performance, particularly through the lens of digestion and absorption processes.

Due to the lack of available specifically treatment against MPV, developing an available vaccine is thus the most prospective and urgent strategy. Herein, a programmable macrophage vesicle based bionic self-adjuvanting vaccine (AM@AEvs-PB) is first developed for defending against monkeypox virus (MPV).

However, the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying mesoderm induction remain elusive. In the present study, a chemically-defined differentiation protocol was used to induce mesoderm formation and generate functional vascular cells including smooth muscle cells (SMCs) and endothelial cells (ECs) from human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs).

With the increasing frequency of global heatwaves, the incidence of heatstroke (HS) is significantly rising. The liver plays a crucial role in metabolism and is an organ highly sensitive to temperature. Acute liver injury (ALI) frequently occurs in patients with HS, yet the exact mechanisms driving ALI in HS are still unknown.

However, little is known about its functional involvement in vascular diseases. Herein, we attempted to explore a role for SNHG18 in modulating vascular smooth muscle cell (VSMC) contractile phenotype and injury-induced neointima formation.

The etiology of diabetic nephropathy (DN) is complex, and the incidence is increasing year by year. The patient's kidney showed oxidative stress damage, increasing active oxygen species (ROS) content, and vasoconstriction. Due to poor drug solubility and low renal accumulation, the current treatment regimens have not effectively alleviated glomerulopathy and other kidney damage caused by DN.

Musashi1 and Musashi2 are RNA-binding proteins originally found in drosophila, in which they play a crucial developmental role. These proteins are pivotal in the maintenance and differentiation of stem cells in other organisms. Research has confirmed that the Musashi proteins are highly involved in cell signal-transduction pathways such as Notch and TGF-β.
