The dynamic behaviors of metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) continue to expand the accessible architectures and properties within this material class. However, the dynamic behaviors that can be studied in MOFs are limited to the transitions, preserving their high crystallinity. For this reason, their significant structural changes involving coordination bond breakage and rearrangement remain largely underexplored.

Background: Previous research has investigated the contribution of immunological cells to both herpes zoster (HZ) and postherpetic neuralgia (PHN). This Mendelian randomization (MR) study seeks to further assess the cause-and-effect connection among 731 immune cell phenotypes and HZ and PHN providing partial causal evidence.
Methods: The data for HZ and PHN were sourced from the FinnGen database, and the 731 immune cell phenotypes were drawn from GWAS.
Coordination between 5,5',6,6'-tetrahydroxyindigo (4OH-ID) and boron tribromide unexpectedly affords a novel dynamic covalent polymer, namely P(ID-O-B), consisting of alternating indigo and indigo diradicaloid units. The catechol-boron dynamic bond plays a vital role in promoting the diradicaloid formation and stabilizing the formed diradicaloid segments. The diradicaloid segment in the polymer has a triplet ground state and a thermally populated doublet state, which has been confirmed by the EPR study.

Limited knowledge of genetic predispositions to ICI-AKI highlights the need for genomic studies to improve therapeutic strategies.
Objective: To identify genetic predispositions for ICI-AKI using large-scale real-world data.

Objective: To assess the health disparities across social determinants of health (SDoH) domains for the risk of severe acidosis independent of demographical and clinical factors.
Materials And Methods: A retrospective case-control study (n = 13 310, 1:4 matching) is performed using electronic health records (EHRs), SDoH surveys, and genomics data from the All of Us participants. The propensity score matching controls confounding effects due to EHR data availability.

Polyimide (PI) aerogels possess significant potential for various applications due to their outstanding mechanics and thermal insulation. However, a major drawback of these aerogels is their susceptibility to moisture, which not only compromises their insulative performance but also leads to an increase in weight. To address this issue, we have developed a moisture-resistance technique by incorporating a long-chain hydrophobic barrier at the ortho position relative to the imide groups to enhance the moisture-resistance of the PI aerogels.

Early detection of metallic corrosion is one considerable method to reduce imperceptible disasters nowadays. Fluorescent coatings with high sensitivity and long lifetimes for use in the early detection of metallic corrosion are in high demand, but they are presently difficult to prepare. Inspired by the chameleon's skin, which is capable of switching its color in different atmospheres sensitively and reversibly, we proposed herein a facile and universal all-in-one strategy of combining the fluorescent sensitivity and dynamic hydrogen bonds in a hydrogel to develop a reusable corrosion detection tape to cover metal surfaces.

Block copolymers with different topologies (linear, loop, 3-armed and 4-armed polymers) containing poly(-vinylpyrrrolidone) (PVP) antifouling blocks and terminal poly(dopamine-acrylamide) (PDAA) anchoring blocks were synthesized. These polymers can form a robust antifouling nanolayer on various surfaces. The morphologies of the polymer-modified surfaces are strongly dependent on the topologies of the polymers: with the increase of arm numbers, the morphology evolves from the smooth surface to the nanoscale coarse surface.
