The photothermal conversion efficiency (PCE) stands as a pivotal determinant in the therapeutic efficacy of photothermal nanoagents (PTNAs) within the context of photothermal therapy (PTT). The dearth of universal strategies to greatly enhance PCE has markedly curtailed the practical deployment of PTNAs. Now this problem is addressed by proposing a universal approach founded on molecular rotors and J-aggregates, "highly efficient molecular motor matrix", to greatly elevate the PCE of traditional PTNAs.

A pair of axially chiral organic enantiomers were facilely prepared through a one-pot sequential synthesis. They exhibit circularly polarized luminescence activities and have thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) and aggregation-induced emission enhancement properties. Meanwhile, these two enantiomers present remarkable and reversible thermochromism in the crystalline state, enabling dual-colour TADF switching between orange and red.

Before the experiment, the appropriate functional monomers and solvents required for the polymer were screened, and the molecular electrostatic potentials (MEPs) were calculated by the DFT/B3LYP/6-31 + G method. MMIP with high recognition of AP was synthesized based on FeO@SiOnanoparticles (NPs) with excellent core-shell structure.
