This study aims to screen for occupational burnout among internal medicine physicians through an online survey, and to explore the relationship between burnout and anxiety, depression, stress, and sleep. The findings are expected to help improve the mental and physical health of physicians, thereby enhancing the medical quality in hospitals. Maslach burnout inventory-general survey (MBI-GS) was used to assess physicians' burnout status, Minnesota satisfaction questionnaire (MSQ) was used to evaluate the job satisfaction, Generalized anxiety disorder 7 (GAD-7), Patient health questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9), and Perceived stress scale (PSS) were used to assess the psychological status, and Pittsburgh sleep quality index (PSQI) was used to evaluate sleep conditions.

Antigenic peptide-based mRNA vaccines have been explored for immunotherapeutic use in various types of cancer because of their advantages in activating durable and specific immune responses. However, their role in modulating tumor metastasis is still unclear. Here, we identify a conserved linear epitope-based peptide, Ma3P, located in the proteolytic region of major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I-related chain A (MICA) α3 and further design mCM10-L, an mRNA vaccine that encodes the carrier protein CRM197 and 10 tandem repeats of Ma3P.

Background: Gastrointestinal (GI) cancers impose a significant burden on global public health. Patients often experience mental health challenges due to physical changes and treatment-related symptoms, which can worsen their condition or delay recovery. Although research is mounting in this field, visual bibliometric analysis has not yet been conducted.

In this regard, the role of globalization in achieving environmental sustainability is a relatively new topic of concern. As a result, the present study considers how globalization and natural resources affect GHG emissions, as well as the roles that renewable energy consumption and urbanization play in the G20 countries between 1990 and 2020.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFOil-water separation materials with specialized wettability have garnered significant attention in the field of oil-water separation due to the advantages of simple use and no secondary pollution. However, the adsorptive contamination of the filter surface by impurity phases and surfactants can cause a shift in the wettability of the filter surface. For efficient oil-water separation and improved resistance to adherent contamination on the oil-water separation membrane surface, herein, superwetted Cu nanofilms and smooth hydrophobic surfaces were prepared on SSM substrates by one-step electrodeposition and immersion methods, respectively.

The influence of proppant size and type on well productivity has been widely studied, but the mechanism of proppant surface wettability on the hydraulic fracture inflow performance has not been thoroughly investigated. To further understand the influence of proppant wettability on fracture inflow performance, in this work, a hydrophobic quartz sand proppant was prepared by a simple dip-coating method using silane solution with a static water contact angle of 136.

This study aimed to explore whether self-compassion (SC) and benefit finding (BF) play a chain mediating role between work stress and ProQOL among Chinese nurses during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Methods: From March to April 2022, a sample of 13,936 Chinese nurses was recruited through snowball sampling.
Gastric cancer (GC) imposes a heavy burden on global public health, and microRNAs (miRNAs) play a crucial role in the diagnosis and treatment of GC. Therefore, it is necessary to clarify the hotspots and frontiers in the field of miRNAs in GC to guide future research. A total of 2,051 publications related to miRNAs in GC from January 2013 to December 2023 were searched from the Web of Science Core Collection database.

Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a major malignancy threatening the health of people in China and screening could be effective for preventing the occurrence and reducing the mortality of CRC. We conducted a multicenter, prospective clinical study which recruited 4,245 high-risk CRC individuals defined as having positive risk-adapted scores or fecal immunochemical test (FIT) results, to evaluate the clinical performance of the multitarget fecal immunochemical and stool DNA (FIT-sDNA) test for CRC screening. Each participant was asked to provide a stool sample prior to bowel preparation, and FIT-sDNA test and FIT were performed independently of colonoscopy.

We evaluated these characteristics of sporadic polyps to guide the endoscopic detection and excision of colorectal polyps.
Methods: This was a retrospective single-center observational study involving 7381 patients with sporadic colorectal polyps.
Background: Functional dyspepsia (FD) is most often a meal-induced syndrome. Studies using resting-state functional magnetic resonance imaging (rs-fMRI) reported abnormal connectivity in areas related to pain processing in FD. However, only a few studies have attempted to determine how meal ingestion affects the brain's working patterns.

Hyperinsulinemia is a critical risk factor for the pathogenesis of insulin resistance (IR) in metabolic tissues, including the liver. Ethanolamine phosphate phospholyase (ETNPPL), a newly discovered metabolic enzyme that converts phosphoethanolamine (PEA) to ammonia, inorganic phosphate, and acetaldehyde, is abundantly expressed in liver tissue. Whether it plays a role in the regulation of hyperinsulinemia-induced IR in hepatocytes remains elusive.

Ferroptosis, a newly defined and iron-dependent cell death, morphologically and biochemically differs from other cell deaths. Melanoma is a serious type of skin cancer, and the poor efficacy of current therapies causes a major increase in mortality. Sorafenib, a multiple kinase inhibitor, has been evaluated in clinical phase trials of melanoma patients, which shows modest efficacy.

Therefore, a source gas is necessary to maintain a superhydrophobic state for its applications under realistic conditions. As detailed in this paper, based on the gas entrapped on a hydrophobic structured surface, the gas regeneration was experimentally achieved to replenish the losses of gas carried off by the flowing and reduced through dissolution.

Alzheimer's disease is a neurodegenerative disease that imposes a substantial financial burden on society. A number of machine learning studies have been conducted to predict the speed of its progression, which varies widely among different individuals, for recruiting fast progressors in future clinical trials. However, because the data in this field are very limited, two problems have yet to be solved: the first is that models built on limited data tend to induce overfitting and have low generalizability, and the second is that no cross-cohort evaluations have been done.
