Neurodegenerative diseases (NDs) are characterized by progressive degeneration of neurons which deteriorates the brain functions. An early detection of the onset of NDs is utmost important, as it will provide the fast treatment strategies to prevent further progression of the disease. Conventionally, accurate diagnosis of the brain related disorders is difficult in their early phase.

The health of agroecosystems is subsiding unremittingly, and the over-use of chemical fertilizers is one of the key reasons. It is hypothesized that integrating biochar, a carbon (C)-rich product, would be an effective approach to reducing the uses of synthetic fertilizers and securing crop productivity through improving soil properties and nutrient cycling. The bamboo biochar at different quantities (4-12 Mg ha) and combinations with chemical fertilizers were tested in stevia (Stevia rebaudiana) farming in silty clay acidic soil.

In the course of evolution, living organisms have become well equipped with diverse natural products that serve important functions, including defence from biotic and abiotic stress, growth regulation, reproduction, metabolism, and epigenetic regulation. It seems to be the organism's ecological niche that influences the natural product's structural and functional diversity. Indeed, natural products constitute the nuts and bolts of molecular co-evolution and ecological relationships among different life forms.

The thermotolerant ability of heat shock factors (HSFs) and heat shock proteins (HSPs) in plants has been shown. Recently, focus has been on their function in plant growth and development under non-stress conditions. Their role in flowering has been suggested given that lower levels of HSF/HSPs resulted in altered flowering in Arabidopsis.

The study of inclusion complexes of Chrysin (ChR) with three forms of cyclodextrins (CDs) α-, β-, and γ-CD was accomplished to examine the stability of ChR inside the central cavities of CDs. The aim of study was to identify the most suitable form of CD to improve the hydro-solubility of poorly soluble ChR bioactive molecule. Microsecond timescale molecular dynamics (MD) simulations were performed on four inclusion complexes (α-CD/ChR, β-CD/ChR, and two conformations of γ-CD/ChR) to examine the dynamics of ChR inside the cavity of CDs.

is a high value perennial herb that grows at an altitude of 1000-3000 MASL in the Indian Himalayan Region and is used in the Ayurvedic, Unani and Chinese systems of medicine. The plant extracts and essential oil (EO) obtained from its roots are used in the pharmaceutical, aromatic and flavouring industries. On account of high global annual demand and lack of organized cultivation of this herb, it is mostly collected from the wild causing depletion of the natural populations and also leading to variable produce making it unsuitable for industrial use.

Nowadays, the human population is more concerned about their diet and very specific in choosing their food sources to ensure a healthy lifestyle and avoid diseases. So people are shifting to more smart nutritious food choices other than regular cereals and staple foods they have been eating for a long time. Pseudocereals, especially, amaranth and quinoa, are important alternatives to traditional cereals due to comparatively higher nutrition, essential minerals, amino acids, and zero gluten.

Aims: Climate change is responsible for extreme cold winters, causing a significant loss in crop yield and productivity due to chilling stress. This study aims to investigate the potential of psychrotrophic plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) strain to promote wheat growth under cold stress and explore the adaptive responses of wheat.
Methods And Results: Wheat seeds and seedlings were inoculated with the psychrotrophic strain IRS14 and the plants were cultivated for five weeks at 6°C ± 2°C.

Ulcerative colitis is a type of inflammatory bowel disease which in long run can lead to colorectal cancer (CRC). Chronic inflammation can be a key factor for the occurrence of CRC thus mitigating an inflammation can be a preventive strategy for the occurrence of CRC. In this study we have explored the anti-inflammatory potential of phloretin, in in vitro gut inflammation model, developed by co-culture of Caco2 (intestinal epithelial) cells and RAW264.

Information regarding cellular anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory attributes of leupeptin with respect to modulation of perturbed macrophage function and lymphocytes has not yet been delineated, particularly in the context of ROS-cytokines-autophagy-inflammatory signalling cascades. Therefore, the present study identified the attributes and mechanisms of leupeptin, from actinomycetes, in relation to excessive oxidative stress mediated disrupted immune homeostasis and inflammatory mechanism in activated macrophages and lymphocytes. Results revealed that leupeptin treatment showed noticeable inhibition in the production of NO, ROS, mitochondrial membrane potential and phagocytosis activity in LPS-stimulated macrophages.

Recombination UVB (sensitivity) like (RuvBL) helicase genes represent a conserved family of genes, which are known to be involved in providing tolerance against abiotic stresses like heat and drought. We identified nine wheat RuvBL genes, one each on nine different chromosomes, belonging to homoeologous groups 2, 3, and 4. The lengths of genes ranged from 1647 to 2197 bp and exhibited synteny with corresponding genes in related species including Ae.
