This study presents an innovative numerical framework for addressing initial value problems (IVPs) in linear fractional Volterra-Fredholm integro-differential equations (FVFIDEs). The approach utilizes a spectral collocation method grounded in shifted Chebyshev polynomials of the second kind to construct an approximate solution. By integrating this approximation into the governing equation and applying collocation constraints at predefined nodes, the IVP is converted into a system of linear algebraic equations.

In this paper, we investigate the newly formulated (3+1)-dimensional Sakovich equation, highlighting its utility in describing the dynamics of nonlinear waves. This novel equation effectively incorporates increased dispersion and nonlinear effects, thereby enhancing its applicability across various physical scenarios. This model especially useful when modeling nonlinear phenomena in materials that simpler linear models would not accurately describe.

Fractional-order modeling of tuberculosis and diabetes mellitus co-existence dynamics.

Comput Biol Med

September 2025

Department of Mathematics and Statistics, College of Science, University of Jeddah, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Electronic address:

This paper proposes a fractional-order model using the Atangana-Baleanu-Caputo derivative to study the co-dynamics of tuberculosis and diabetes mellitus among susceptible (S), TB-infected (I), DM-infected (D), and co-existence (C) populations. The model's well-posedness is established via the Banach fixed-point theorem, ensuring the uniqueness and positivity of solutions. Basic reproduction numbers (R,R,R) are derived, with values exceeding unity indicating the instability of the disease-free equilibrium and progression toward endemicity.

Multifunctional nanophotonic photoacoustic biosensors: a new era in molecular imaging-guided deep-tissue cancer monitoring.

Methods

October 2025

UKM-Photonic Technology Research Group, Department of Electrical, Electronic and Systems Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, UKM, Bangi 43600, Malaysia. Electronic address:

Monitoring cancer therapy is difficult because of restricted imaging depth, inadequate molecular specificity, and delayed response evaluation. Moreover, conventional imaging techniques fail to provide high-resolution, real-time views of the dynamic tumor microenvironment during therapy. Among emerging technologies, nanophotonic photoacoustic biosensors have gained prominence as multifunctional platforms that enable real-time, non-invasive imaging and dynamic monitoring of cancer therapy.

New research has highlighted a shortfall in the Standard Model (SM) because it predicts neutrinos to have zero mass. However, recent experiments on neutrino oscillation have revealed that the majority of neutrino parameters indeed indicate their significant mass. In response, scientists are increasingly incorporating discrete symmetries alongside continuous ones for the observed patterns of neutrino mixing.
