Cyclotriphosphazene derivatives, commonly employed as flame retardants and electrolyte additives in lithium-ion batteries, have sparked concerns regarding their potential effects on human health due to environmental release. Despite their widespread use, the detection of these compounds in human urine, a key medium for evaluating exposure to environmental pollutants, remains underexplored. In this study, seven cyclotriphosphazene derivatives were analyzed in urine samples obtained from 238 individuals residing in Hangzhou City, China.

Background: Brominated flame retardants (BFRs), especially polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs), are commonly utilized, yet their possible endocrine-disrupting effects have sparked significant concerns. Nonetheless, the link between exposure to BFRs and serum testosterone levels in adult males is still not well comprehended.
Methods: We analyzed data from 1,150 men aged ≥20 years from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) in 2013-2016.

Objectives: Fire risk during laser airway surgery is well-documented, but there is limited information regarding this risk with the novel TruBlue laser. This study evaluates its safety under different experimental conditions.
Methods: Using a cadaveric porcine larynx and lungs model, we conducted trials with laser-safe endotracheal tubes (LSETTs), high-flow ventilation (HFV), and jet ventilation.

Antistatic and anti-flame biodegradable polymer composites were developed by melt-blending polybutylene succinate (PBS) with epoxy resin, polybutylene adipate-co-terephthalate (PBAT), and MgO particles. The composite films were prepared using a two-roll mill and an extrusion-blown film machine. Plasma and sparking techniques were used to improve the antistatic properties of the composites.
