Article Abstract

Circularly polarized luminescence (CPL)-active lanthanide gels are seldom reported, despite their vast potential for various applications. Here, we report CPL-active lanthanide gels with a high dissymmetry factor () and a high quantum yield of 59%. This is the first report of both left- and right-handed CPL-active lanthanide gels by employing simple low molecular weight chiral gelators. Moreover, tunable CPL signals, including white light-emitting CPL, were obtained. We can further upgrade the material's applicability as a potential anti-counterfeit up to a 4-tier security tag.

Dual-Targeting Mn@CeO Nanozyme-Modified Probiotic Hydrogel Microspheres Reshape Gut Homeostasis in Inflammatory Bowel Disease.

Clinical Nutrition Service Center, Department of General Surgery, Jinling Hospital, Affiliated Hospital of Medical School, Nanjing University, Nanjing 210002, China.

Oral microecological agents show potential in reshaping intestinal microbiota and treating inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), but their clinical application is hindered by gastrointestinal challenges, antioxidant instability, and ineffective targeted delivery. In this study, we proposed a protective modification strategy utilizing a nanozyme coating and an alginate microsphere system to enhance the delivery efficiency, effectiveness, and precision of probiotics. By incorporating Mn into CeO, Mn@CeO nanozyme was synthesized, significantly boosting ROS scavenging activity both and at safe dosages.

Bimetallic-Doped Metal-Organic Gel for Efficient Electrochemiluminescence: Staircase-Mediated Energy Transfer and Applications in Epinephrine Detection.

Anal Chem

September 2025

Fujian Provincial Key Laboratory of Pollution Monitoring and Control, Fujian Provincial Key Laboratory of Modern Analytical Science and Separation Technology, College of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Environment, Minnan Normal University, Zhangzhou 363000, China.

This study presents the development of a novel bimetallic-doped metal-organic gel (Tb-Eu-MOG) synthesized by codoping terbium (Tb(III)) and europium (Eu(III)) with the Hcptpy ligand and explores its application in electrochemiluminescence (ECL) for sensitive detection of epinephrine (EP). The Tb-Eu-MOG exhibits unique petal nanoflower-like morphology and remarkable ECL signals, attributed to the dual sensitization effects of Tb(III) and Eu(III) on the Hcptpy ligand. The Tb(III) doping facilitates energy transfer and enhances ECL efficiency through a staircase effect.

Chronic diabetic wounds are characterized by excessive oxidative stress, persistent infection, immune dysregulation, and excessive exudate, all of which hinder effective healing. However, most current microneedle (MN) platforms overlook exudate management and real-time wound monitoring. Herein, we present a multifunctional hydrogel MN patch composed of gelatin methacryloyl (GM), polydopamine-coated cerium oxide nanozymes (P@C NPs), and nitrogen-doped carbon quantum dots (N-CDs).

In bacterial wound healing, continuous controlled oxygen delivery to injured tissue, coupled with bacterial elimination and inflammation reduction, is crucial for promoting tissue regeneration and repair. To address this, we designed a multimodal synergistic treatment strategy based on nanozymes to enable oxygen-controlled release while achieving antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects. We developed a polydopamine-hyaluronic acid (PDA-HA) hydrogel composite system incorporating CuS NPs and CeO₂ nanozymes.
