Purpose Of Review: This review explores the evolving understanding of efferocytosis - the clearance of dead or dying cells by phagocytes - in the context of atherosclerosis. It highlights recent discovers in cell death modalities, impaired clearance mechanisms and emerging therapeutic strategies aimed at restoring efferocytosis to stabilize plaques and resolve inflammation.
Recent Findings: Recent studies have expanded the scope of efferocytosis beyond apoptotic cells to include other pro-inflammatory cell death modes, including pyroptosis, necroptosis and ferroptosis, revealing context-dependent clearance efficiency and immunological outcomes.

Introduction: Copper complexes, as endogenous metals, have potential in cancer therapy, addressing issues associated with cisplatin. Since cisplatin uses Copper Transporter 1 (CTR1) for cellular entry, copper complexes may utilize this pathway to enhance transport efficiency.
Methods: The Cu/Na dipicolinic acid complex was synthesized to assess its cytotoxicity, induction of apoptosis, drug resistance, and inflammation in cancerous and normal lung cells.

Background: The aim of this study was to analyze the prevalence of psychiatric symptoms in prehospital emergency care and the characteristics of this patient group as well as the association with deprivation in the district, self-assessment of health status, and the frequency of emergency calls due to or accompanied by psychiatric diagnoses.
Methods: A retrospective cross-sectional study descriptively and analytically evaluated all ground-based Emergency Medical Service and rescue service incidents dispatched by the Integrated Regional Control Center (IRLS) in the period from January 1, 2021 through December 31, 2021. In addition to the clinical parameters and the demographic data of the patients, the sociodemographic characteristics of the incident location at the district level, unemployment rate, net equivalent household income, and the proportion of single-person households, as well as personal assessment of mental health and overall well-being, were included in the study.

In this study, Fe-Ni-layered double hydroxide modified crayfish shell biochar substrate (Fe-Ni-LDH@CSBC) was successfully prepared and introduced into constructed wetland (CW) to research the Cr(VI) removal mechanism through substrate adsorption and microbial action. Adsorption experiments demonstrated the equilibrium adsorption capacities of Fe-Ni-LDH@CSBC for Cr(VI) could reach 1058.48 (C=10 mg/L) and 1394.

Rapid detection of live Salmonella typhimurium in food is critical for preventing contamination and protecting public health. Traditional methods, though reliable, are slow, costly, and require centralized labs. Many existing biosensors primarily detect dead bacteria, increasing false-positive risks.
