China is the world's largest supplier of raw materials and is a major consumer of refractories. The environmental damage that results from the use of refractories has drawn increasing attention. Life cycle emissions of air pollutants and CO associated with the refractory manufacturing industry between 2009 and 2021 were quantified in this study. Particulate matter, SO, and NO emissions decreased by 7.1% (1515 t), 23.6% (2982 t), and 27.8% (3178 t), respectively, over the aforementioned period despite refractory output volumes being relatively stable. Advancements in manufacturing and purification technologies and internal modifications within the industry played a significant role in these decreases. To sustain output while significantly lowering emissions, the industry shifted toward the production of new minimally polluting refractories and monolithic refractories and away from the production of highly polluting clay bricks. CO emission was reduced by 1.36 million tons as a result of product modifications. A logarithmic mean Divisia index (LMDI) model was used to quantify the driving forces of five factors (pollution production coefficient, control technology level, economic development level, economic structure, and consumption structure) affecting emissions. Three different emission reduction scenarios were simulated, and potential emission reductions of 23.1-77.7% by 2030 were projected.

Importance: The cost-effectiveness of adding early in-bed cycling to usual physiotherapy among adults receiving mechanical ventilation in the intensive care unit (ICU) compared with usual physiotherapy alone is unknown.
Objective: To evaluate the cost-effectiveness of in-bed cycling plus usual physiotherapy compared with usual therapy alone in the Critical Care Cycling to Improve Lower Extremity Strength (CYCLE) randomized clinical trial.
Design, Setting, And Participants: This trial-based economic evaluation with a 90-day time horizon compared early cycling plus usual physiotherapy vs usual physiotherapy alone from a societal perspective.

Apicomplexan AP2 (ApiAP2) family proteins are a family of transcription factors that are known to regulate gene expression in apicomplexan pathogens, including . In this study, we focused on TgAP2X-7, a member of the APiAP2 family that is predicted to be essential for fitness. Endogenous tagging of TgAP2X-7 followed by immunofluorescence analysis revealed that it's a cell cycle-regulated nuclear protein with peak expression in the G1 phase.

DNA replication requires recruitment of Cdc45 and GINS into the MCM double hexamer by initiation factors to form an active helicase, the Cdc45-MCM-GINS (CMG) complex, at the replication origins. The initiation factor Sld3 is a central regulator of Cdc45 and GINS recruitment, working with Sld7 together. However, the mechanism through which Sld3 regulates CMG complex formation remains unclear.

Unlabelled: Fungal degradation of cellulose facilitates the sustainable harnessing of biosphere energy and carbon cycling. is one of the basidiomycetes with the largest number of hydrolytic enzymes in its genome. The mycelium of degrades cellulose through the production of substantial amounts of cellulase, enabling the absorption of carbon sources and nutrients essential for fruiting body development.

Background: Antipsychotics are associated with side effects like weight gain, obesity, and menstrual disorders in Women, which can reduce treatment compliance and increase cardiovascular, metabolic risks, dementia, and other chronic diseases, as well as increase mortality, and reduce the quality of life in patients. Data on these effects in Vietnam are limited. This study evaluated changes in body weight, BMI, menstrual cycle, and metabolic syndrome components among female schizophrenic inpatients treated with antipsychotics.
