Article Abstract

Since ammonium perchlorate (AP) thermal decomposition catalysis is a typical heterogeneous catalytic process, developing catalysts with optimized interfacial properties has become an urgent priority. Catalysts featuring hierarchically porous structures demonstrate significant advantages in heterogeneous catalysis due to their abundant accessible active sites. In this study, a wrinkled hierarchically porous structure cerium-based metal-organic framework material (WHP-UiO-66-Ce) was synthesized by the soft template method, and its interaction with AP enabled efficient catalysis of AP decomposition. The results show that under the catalysis of WHP-UiO-66-Ce, the high-temperature decomposition peak of AP is reduced from 427.2 to 361.5 °C. Meanwhile, WHP-UiO-66-Ce significantly enhances the rate of decomposition of AP, which is attributed to its unique structure. Furthermore, concerns about the issue of the agglomeration of catalysts have significantly diminished. This strategy provides an idea for designing efficient catalysts for AP thermal decomposition.

Biomass containing inorganic ingredients can be converted into highly porous biochar via in-situ activation and templating process. Here, N-doped biochar is obtained by pyrolysis of spinach organs for efficient dye removal, using methylene blue (MB) as a model dye, and pyrolysis temperature plays a critical role in determining both porosity and N-species within biochar. Significantly, leaf biochar (LC-900) as pyrolyzed at 900 °C shows surface areas of 1263 m/g larger than that of biochar from stem and root, indicating a dependence on the biomass organ source.

Hard carbon has emerged as the most widely studied and commercialized anode material for sodium-ion batteries (SIBs). However, improving the charge transfer kinetics within the plateau potential range of the hard carbon anode is crucial for the development of fast-charging SIBs. In this study, we prepared a novel composite material, ZAPA-1300, by uniformly mixing starch, asphalt, and zinc oxide (ZnO), followed by a two-step treatment process.

Vascularization of implanted biomaterials is critical to reconstructive surgery and tissue engineering. Ultimately, the goal is to promote a rapidly perfusable hierarchical microvasculature that persists with time and can meet underlying tissue needs. We have previously shown that using a microsurgical technique, termed micropuncture (MP), in combination with porous granular hydrogel scaffolds (GHS) fabricated via interlinking hydrogel microparticles (microgels) results in a rapidly perfusable patterned microvasculature.

Three-dimensional printing (3DP) technology enables the flexible fabrication of integrated monolithic microextraction chips for high-throughput sample pretreatment. Meanwhile, the extraction performance of 3DP-based channels is largely limited by printer resolution and the commercially available printing materials. In this work, a 3DP array monolithic microextraction chip (AMC) was fabricated by integrating 26-array helical monolithic microextraction channels for sample pretreatment and 52-array gas valves for fluid control.

Decades of antibiotic misuse have spurred an antimicrobial resistance crisis, creating an urgent demand for alternative treatment options. Although phototherapy has therapeutic potential, the efficacy of the most advanced photosensitizers (PS) is essentially limited by aggregation-induced quenching, which significantly reduces their therapeutic effect. To address these challenges, we developed a cationic metallocovalent organic framework (CRuP-COF) via a solvent-mediated dual-reaction synthesis strategy.
