Common pulmonary vein atresia (CPVA) is a rare congenital heart disease characterized by the absence of functional connectivity between the pulmonary vein and any other heart cavity or systemic venous structure. A 13-h-old newborn (G3P3) was admitted to the department of pediatrics of a local maternity hospital and given tracheal intubation ventilator for assisted breathing due to systemic cyanosis, respiratory distress, and poor response 4 h after birth. He was transferred to Handan Maternal and Child Health Hospital 7 h after birth.

BRASH syndrome is an acronym for Bradycardia, Renal failure, AV blockade, Shock, and Hyperkalemia. It arises from the synergy between AV nodal blocking medications (such as beta-blockers or calcium antagonists), renal failure, and hyperkalemia, leading to bradycardia and renal hypoperfusion. This exacerbates the decline in renal function and hyperkalemia, increasing the effect of AV-node blocking medication and creating a vicious cycle with the risk of multi-organ failure.

Ethnopharmacological Relevance: Alcoholic liver disease (ALD), a chronic liver injury induced by prolonged alcohol consumption, involves intricate multi-organ interactions, such as gut-liver axis disruption, as well as the synergistic effects of multiple factors including oxidative stress, intestinal dysbiosis, and metabolic disturbances. These complex pathological mechanisms render single-target therapies largely ineffective in achieving desirable therapeutic outcomes. Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), characterized by its multi-target mechanisms and low toxicity, has demonstrated unique advantages in the treatment of ALD in the past decades.

Introduction: Amniotic Fluid Embolism (AFE) is a rare but catastrophic obstetric emergency characterized by the sudden entry of amniotic fluid or fetal debris into the maternal circulation. This triggers acute cardiopulmonary collapse, disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC), and multi-organ failure. Despite its low incidence, AFE remains a significant contributor to maternal mortality worldwide.

Background: Accurate segmentation of high-risk clinical target volume (HRCTV) and organs-at-risk (OARs) is crucial for optimizing gynecologic brachytherapy treatment planning. However, performing this segmentation on Computed Tomography (CT) images remains particularly challenging due to anatomical variability, limited soft-tissue contrast, and the scarcity of annotated datasets. Compared to other radiotherapy domains, CT-based gynecologic brachytherapy segmentation is notably underrepresented in benchmarking studies.
