: Visual recovery after cataract surgery may be affected by lifestyle and environmental factors. This study aimed to investigate the association between daily outdoor activity and patient-reported visual outcomes after cataract surgery under perioperative management using cyclosporine and rebamipide. : This retrospective study included 90 eyes from patients who underwent standardized cataract surgery with implantation of TECNIS Eyhance intraocular lenses. Patients were divided into two groups based on their average daily outdoor activity during the first postoperative month: Group 1 (≤3 h/day) and Group 2 (>3 h/day). Postoperative assessments included Cataract-related Visual Function Questionnaire (CVFQ) scores, uncorrected and corrected distance visual acuity, and ocular surface parameters such as tear breakup time, Oxford score, SICCA score, and OSDI. : Group 1 reported significantly higher CVFQ scores for daytime ( = 0.020) and night-time driving ( = 0.037) compared to Group 2, indicating lower levels of visual discomfort in these tasks. No significant differences were observed between the groups for other CVFQ subcategories or ocular surface parameters. : Except for driving-related discomfort, no significant differences were found in CVFQ scores between the groups. No difference in ocular surface parameters can be attributed to the perioperative management using cyclosporine and rebamipide. CVFQ may be a useful tool for assessing subjective visual outcomes after cataract surgery.

Introductions And Objectives: This study assesses risk factors for developing cataracts after vitrectomy with tamponade for rhegmatogenous retinal detachment (RRD) in phakic patients and explores the potencial causal relationship between RRD surgery and the development of cataracts.
Materials And Methods: This was a retrospective study analysing the medical records of patients undergoing RRD surgery between 2012 and 2020 (9 years) at Donostia University Hospital (HUD). We collected data on the date of phacoemulsification surgery after vitrectomy surgery for RRD, as well as the type of vitrectomy and patient characteristics.

Purpose: To determine Asia Pacific cataract surgeons' attitudes toward surgical waste and toward reusing supplies and pharmaceuticals.
Design: Multinational survey of APAO members METHODS: An online survey link was distributed to APAO members through their national ophthalmology societies. Responses were deidentified and compared with those from identical survey questionnaires previously distributed to North American and European cataract surgeons.

Femtosecond laser has become an important tool in cataract surgery due to its precision and minimally invasive nature. However, the strong scattering properties of the lens limit surgical efficiency, especially when it comes to effectively cutting highly opaque and hard cataracts with femtosecond laser. This study proposes a method for achieving optical transparency in opaque lenses through tartrazine treatment.

Purpose: To assess the clinical outcomes of Hydrus Microstent implantation with cataract extraction for the treatment of open angle glaucoma (OAG) over a maximum of 4 years.
Design: Retrospective, single-center, single-arm, longitudinal cohort study.
Subjects: 308 patients (464 eyes) with OAG who underwent Hydrus Microstent implantation with cataract extraction between February 2019 and December 2021, followed for a median (interquartile range, IQR) of 2.

Objectives: To investigate the relationship between variability of preoperative ocular biometric measurements and the accuracy of intraocular lens (IOL) power calculation.
Methods: This retrospective study included cataract patients who underwent surgery at the People's Hospital of Baoan Shenzhen from January 2022 to December 2024. Preoperative ocular biometric parameters were measured using the Lenstar LS-900, and the coefficients of variation (CV) of corneal curvature (K1-CV, K2-CV), axial length (AL-CV), anterior chamber depth (ACD-CV) were calculated.
