This study demonstrates the concept of Mixed Reality (MR) based slit lamp (MR-SLP), which can display real-time stereoscopic diagnostic images of the eye both locally and remotely, making it suitable for stereoscopic tele-ophthalmology applications. In MR-SLP, two high-resolution video cameras were mounted on the left and right viewing channels of a conventional slit lamp to capture corresponding diagnostic images in real time, which were then transmitted to multiple MR headsets via a broadcast network. The operator wears the MR headset to see the stereoscopic diagnostic images and operates the slit lamp using the MR's see-through function.

Stereoscopy harnesses two spatially offset cameras to mimic human vision for depth perception, enabling 3D optical imaging for various remote sensing applications. However, its depth precision and accuracy are limited by insufficient spatial resolving power. Achieving high precision alongside extensive measurable ranges and high-speed measuring capabilities has long been a challenge in 3D imaging.

: Visual field (VF) testing is key to assessing functional loss in glaucoma. Despite its clinical value, traditional VF testing has a number of limitations, including its dependency on medical equipment and posturing requirements. The present study examines the acceptance, tolerability, and comfort of home-based VF testing using a virtual reality (VR) headset.

With the continuous improvement of air quality in China, the characteristics of emission sources of pollutants have changed significantly, from their distribution to emitted atmospheric species and the corresponding emission concentrations and source localization has become increasingly challenging. The localization uncertainties of in situ observations are further amplified when combined with model simulations, which seriously restricts the realization of China's strategic goal of "reducing pollution and carbon." In this study, we established a localization and emission warning scheme for emission sources based on various hyperspectral remote sensing techniques with different observation spatial resolutions.
