Article Abstract

Aims: The study aims to investigate the impact of key parameters of pulsed field ablation (PFA) on lesion depth, including voltage (V), pulse width (PW), number of pulses (P), and ablation number (N), using potato models.

Methods: Potatoes are utilized as a display of the irreversible electroporation lesion. The key ablation parameters were varied systematically to explore its influences on lesion depths.

Results And Conclusion: The key ablation parameters have varying degrees of influence on lesion depths, following the order of PW>V; V>P; PW>P; N>P. Lesion depths increased with higher values of V and P. However, when the total number of pulses reached 9,600, there was no significant increase in injury depth.

Objectives: To explore the relationships between cardiac parameters and body composition indices, identifying predictors of subclinical cardiac systolic dysfunction.

Methods: Using anthropometric and serological parameters, echocardiography, and body composition analysis, this study evaluated metabolic profiles, cardiac remodeling patterns, and body composition characteristics in young adult obese patients, while quantifying the correlations between cardiac parameters and body composition indices. Subclinical left ventricular systolic dysfunction was defined as global longitudinal strain (GLS) < 18%.

Alcoholic fatty liver disease (AFLD) is a leading cause of chronic liver disease worldwide, contributing to significant morbidity and mortality. Despite its growing prevalence, no FDA-approved pharmacological treatments exist, leaving lifestyle modifications as the primary intervention. AFLD pathogenesis involves a complex interplay of lipid accumulation, oxidative stress, insulin resistance, and inflammation, highlighting the need for innovative therapeutic approaches.

Biological models are important in describing species interaction, disease spread, and environmental processes. One key aspect in improving the predictive capability of these models is deciding which parametrization is used to formulate the mathematical model. Considering two distinct functions with similar shapes and the same qualitative properties in a model can lead to markedly different model predictions.

With the progress of study, MoS has been proven to show excellent properties in electronics and optoelectronics, which promotes the fabrication of future novel integrated circuits and photodetectors. However, highly uniform wafer-scale growth is still in its early stage, especially regarding how to control the precursor and its distribution. Herein, we propose a new method, spraying the Mo precursor, which is proven to fabricate highly uniform 2-inch monolayer MoS wafers.
