Bisphenol A (BPA) is a representative obesogen that induces adipocyte differentiation and lipid accumulation by mimicking the action of hormones. is a plant belonging to the mustard family, and has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-obesity effects. However, its efficacy against obesogen-induced obesity requires further investigation. In this study, we investigated the anti-obesogenic effects of extract (BJE) on BPA-treated 3T3-L1 preadipocytes and C57BL/6J mice. The treatment with BPA and BJE did not have cytotoxic effects in vitro. In addition, BJE inhibited BPA-induced lipid accumulation and suppressed BPA-induced changes in adipocyte differentiation, adipogenesis, and lipolysis protein expression in 3T3-L1 cells. Oral administration of BJE reduced body weight, adipose tissue mass, and adipocyte size in BPA-induced obese C57BL/6 mice. BJE also regulated the expression of proteins involved in adipocyte differentiation, adipogenesis, and lipolysis. These data demonstrate that BJE is a natural functional substance with anti-obesogenic effects.

This report presents the case of a 62-year-old male who presented with a two-month history of right flank pain and decreased appetite. Clinical evaluation revealed a palpable, non-tender mass in the right flank, while laboratory tests demonstrated mild anemia (hemoglobin 9.3 g/dL) with otherwise normal renal function.

Introduction: Delayed wound healing remains a significant clinical challenge under diabetic conditions, characterized by chronic inflammation and impaired angiogenesis. Traditional treatments show limited efficacy, highlighting the urgent need for innovative therapeutic approaches.
Methods: This study investigated the therapeutic potential of exosomes derived from subcutaneous adipocytes (Adipo-EVs) using a diabetic mouse model.

Background And Objective: Connexin43 (Cx43), encoded by Gja1, forms gap junctions between adjacent cells. In adipose tissue, it is upregulated during adipose beiging while downregulated by high-fat-diet (HFD) feeding. Adipocyte-specific Gja1 overexpression enhances adipose tissue beiging in response to mild cold stress of room temperature.

Osteoporosis is an increasing concern in the aging population worldwide, culminating in increased economic concerns and diminished quality of life. Similarly, disturbances of lipid metabolism and adipocytes accumulate more and more in western societies and need solutions. Adipocytes have recently attracted much interest in relation to their endocrine products, one of which is adiponectin, normally associated with beneficial effects on cardiovascular health, inflammation, and cancer.

Fat depots across the body dynamically tune their sizes in response to nutrient demands and nonmetabolic cues. Writing in Cell Stem Cell, Rivera-Gonzalez et al. report that skin fat, notable for its ability to rapidly expand, harbors molecularly distinct precursors, primed for proliferation and differentiation into mature adipocytes.
