Article Abstract

Dictyostelids represent a crucial element in the protist community, and their abundant presence in Jilin Province underscores their indispensable role in biodiversity conservation. In the present study, a resource survey of dictyostelids used random sampling to collect 28 soil samples from five localities in Changbai Korean Autonomous County, Jilin Province. In addition, a compilation of dictyostelid species reported from Jilin Province was developed, based on a thorough review of the literature. The survey yielded fifteen isolates of dictyostelids, comprising six species from four genera. Notably, two new species ( sp. nov. and sp. nov.) were described using morphological characteristics and SSU gene-based phylogenetic analyses. One other species () was recorded as new for China, while another () was recorded as a new record for Jilin Province. The dictyostelid assemblage in Jilin Province is dominated by the genus (51.4%), with a total of 35 species, which represent 59.3% of the current total known for all of China. These findings provide a scientific basis for the protection of species diversity and resource utilization of dictyostelids in Jilin Province.

A method for determination of ten kinds of sweeteners in soybean products by multi-plug filtration cleanup (-PFC) combined with ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS) was established. The sample was extracted with acetonitrile (containing 1% formic acid), degreased by using -hexane liquid-liquid extraction and purified by solid phase extraction using an -PFC column (Oasis PRiME HLB). The analytes were separated by using a Waters ACQUITY UPLC® BEH C (2.

Background: Previous results from this phase 3 trial showed that progression-free survival among participants with previously untreated (epidermal growth factor receptor)-mutated advanced non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) was significantly improved with amivantamab-lazertinib as compared with osimertinib. Results of the protocol-specified final overall survival analysis in this trial have not been reported.

Methods: We randomly assigned, in a 2:2:1 ratio, participants with previously untreated -mutated (exon 19 deletion or L858R substitution), locally advanced or metastatic NSCLC to receive amivantamab-lazertinib, osimertinib, or lazertinib.

Delivering therapeutics across the blood-brain barrier (BBB) remains a major challenge in ischemic stroke therapy. Ischemic stroke induces upregulation of various inflammatory membrane receptors on brain endothelial cells, offering potential entry points for receptor-mediated transcytosis. This study proposes a universal targeting strategy by employing inflammatory pathway antagonists as targeting ligands, which broadens the spectrum of available ligands beyond traditional receptor-binding molecules.

Serum uric acid (SUA) levels are linked to increased disease vulnerability and higher recurrence rates; however, the exact causal relationships are elusive. Despite the prevalent hyperuricemia in East Asian populations, comprehensive research on the intricate association between SUA levels and disease is lacking. To address this, a study utilizing a 2-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) approach was conducted in East Asian populations.
