Article Abstract

Recently, halide perovskites have been recognized for their thermochromic characteristics, showing significant potential in information encryption applications. However, the limited luminescence color gamut hinders the encryption of complex multicolor information. Herein, for the first time, multicolor thermochromic perovskites with luminescence covering the entire visible spectrum have been designed. Oleylammonium halide salts facilitate a reversible phase transformation between nonluminescent CsPbX nanocrystals (NCs) and luminescent CsPbX NCs upon heating or cooling. This process occurs without the need for external addition or removal of ligands or metal salts, enabling efficient and intelligent information encryption. A proof-of-concept demonstration successfully encrypts and decrypts multicolor digital information. This work not only advances the understanding of phase transformations in perovskites but also highlights their significant potential for information encryption applications.

Lysyl oxidase exacerbates rheumatoid arthritis through promoting angiogenesis and the proliferation of fibroblast-like synoviocytes.

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune disorder characterized by synovial hyperplasia and pannus formation, which serves as its primary pathological feature and may ultimately result in joint deformities. Lysyl oxidase (LOX) is involved in the formation and remodeling of the extracellular matrix, but its role in RA is not yet clear. This study aims to investigate the mechanism of lysyl oxidase (LOX) in synovial hyperplasia and pannus formation associated with rheumatoid arthritis (RA).

Many ant species show dramatic shifts in behaviour when infected with parasites, but the molecular basis of these behavioural changes is not well understood. An example is the wood ant, Formica aserva, which serves as an intermediate host for the lancet liver fluke, Dicrocoelium dendriticum. Infected ants leave their nests during the cool hours of the day, ascend a flower and then attach themselves to a petal with their mandibles.

Epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) exon 20 insertion mutations (EGFR Exon 20ins) are the third most common mutations in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and are associated with a poorer prognosis and resistance to conventional EGFR-tyrosine kinase inhibitors. This subpopulation analysis of the open-label phase 3 trial (PAPILLION) evaluates the efficacy and safety of amivantamab-chemotherapy versus chemotherapy among Japanese patients with locally advanced or metastatic NSCLC with EGFR Exon 20ins mutation (ClinicalTrials.gov, NCT04538664).

Growing evidence have indicated the bidirectional relationships between various inflammatory cytokines and prostate cancer (PCa), but the causality between genetic susceptibility to inflammatory cytokines and PCa was still in initial exploratory phase. This bidirectional Mendelian randomization (MR) research was manipulated to draw causative inferences and the effect of direction between 91 inflammatory cytokines and PCa. Genetic data of PCa were originated from a publicly accessible genome-wide association study with 3269 individuals and 459,664 controls, and inflammatory cytokines summarized by a protein quantitative trait locus study were embodied 14,824 participants.

Terahertz communication systems demand versatile devices capable of simultaneously controlling propagating waves and surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs) in far-field (FF) and near-field (NF) channels, yet existing solutions are constrained by volatile operation, single-function limitations, and the inability to integrate NF and FF functionalities. Here, we present a nonvolatile reconfigurable terahertz metasurface platform leveraging the phase-change material GeSbTe(GST) to achieve on-demand dual-channel modulation-a first in the terahertz regime. By exploiting the stark conductivity contrast of GST between amorphous and crystalline states, our design enables energy-efficient switching between NF-SPP manipulation and FF-wavefront engineering without requiring continuous power input.
