This paper presents a comprehensive optimization of an outer frame anchor disk resonator gyroscope (DRG) with enhanced resistance to vibration and shock, achieved by increasing the resonant frequency of the tub and translation modes. Furthermore, the wineglass mode retains a high quality factor, enhancing sensitivity and reducing the angle random walk (ARW). The performance of the proposed DRG is analyzed using dynamic equations, and its structural parameters are optimized through finite element analysis (FEA). The prototype device was fabricated using a two-mask silicon-on-insulator (SOI) process on (100) single-crystal silicon (SCS), which is better suited for complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) integration compared to (111) SCS. Experimental results show an ARW of 0.63°/h and a bias instability (BI) of 7.7°/h, with no significant performance degradation observed under vibrational environments, indicating potential for tactical-grade performance.

Objectives: This study focused on synthesizing and characterizing novel thiosemicarbazide derivatives containing a 1,2,4-triazole moiety and evaluating their antimicrobial activity against several bacterial strains. The research aimed to identify key structural features that enhance antimicrobial efficacy through structure-activity relationship analysis and identify the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) of the most potent compounds to assess their potential for further development as antimicrobial agents.
Materials And Methods: Nine novel thiosemicarbazide derivatives containing a 1,2,4-triazole moiety were synthesized by reacting 1,2,4-triazole derivatives with thiosemicarbazide precursors, and the products were characterized using infrared spectroscopy, proton nuclear magnetic resonance (H-NMR), carbon-13 nuclear magnetic resonance (C-NMR) spectroscopy, and elemental analysis.

Highly efficient optoelectronic devices of ultrasmall sizes are demanded as building blocks of next-generation integrated circuits, where tunable color enhances the feasibility of various applications. Here, we realize tunable multicolor nanolasers using disk-shaped axial heterostructures composed of III-nitride materials (GaN/InGaN/GaN), leveraging the optical confinement effect and active waveguiding. In heterostructure nanodisks, the development of exciton-polariton induces unique features near the resonance regime, and the formation of whispering-gallery modes facilitates optical gain processes for the polaritonic lasing of GaN.

Fano lineshapes associated with quasi bound-state-in-the-continuum resonances, that are supported by dielectric metasurfaces, have the advantageous properties of being extremely sensitive to minute geometrical changes in the meta-atoms. We show an approach to determine deep subwavelength feature sizes, comparable to semiconductor critical dimension metrology, by structurally infilling a void of a dielectric disk-hole metasurface design. Our simulated results show a sensitivity of 40.

Primary malignant giant cell tumor of bone (PMGCTB), which is usually confirmed to contain a high-grade sarcomatous component at the time of initial diagnosis, accounts for 1.6% of giant cell tumors of bone (GCTB). PMGCTB usually occurs in the epiphysis of long bones, which is similar to GCTB, and only 1.

In the proposed FH OEO, a dual-passband microwave photonic filter (MPF) based on phase-modulation-to-intensity-modulation (PM-IM) conversion is implemented using two laser diodes (LDs), a phase modulator, a micro-disk resonator, and a photodiode. Using two synchronized electrical control signals, the two LDs are intensity modulated to achieve the controllable two sub-passbands of the dual-passband MPF.
