Article Abstract

With the growing need for precise campus electricity management, understanding load patterns is crucial for improving energy efficiency and optimizing energy use. However, detailed electricity load data for campus buildings and their internal equipment is often lacking, hindering research. This paper introduces an energy consumption monitoring dataset from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) campus in Hong Kong, comprising data from over 1400 meters across more than 20 buildings and collected over two and a half years. Using the Brick Schema curation strategy, raw data was curated into a research-ready format. This dataset supports various research tasks, including load pattern recognition, fault detection, demand response strategies, and load forecasting.

Introduction: The high mortality of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) highlights the need for safe and effective antiviral treatment. Small molecular antivirals (remdesivir, molnupiravir, nirmatrelvir/ritonavir) and immunomodulators (baricitinib, tocilizumab) have been developed or repurposed to suppress viral replication and ameliorate cytokine storms, respectively. Despite U.

Patients with primary plasma cell leukemia (pPCL), particularly those with extramedullary disease (EMD), face a poor prognosis even with chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-T cell therapy. This case report describes a patient with relapsed/refractory pPCL and life-threatening malignant pleural effusion (PE) treated with intrapleural CAR-T cells targeting B-cell maturation antigens. CAR-T cell expansion within the PE was observed, along with a rapid reduction in leukemia cell count and PE volume.

Type I interferon (IFN-I) is highly prevalent in autoimmune disorders and is intricately involved in disease pathogenesis, including Sjögren's disease (SjD), also known as Sjögren's syndrome. Although the T follicular helper (Tfh) cell response has been shown to drive SjD development in a mouse model of experimental Sjögren's syndrome (ESS), the connection between IFN-I and the Tfh cell response remains unclear. As the activation of stimulator of interferon genes (STING) induces IFN-I production, we first demonstrated that mice deficient in STING or IFN-I signaling presented diminished Tfh cells and were completely resistant to ESS development.

How terrestrial mean annual temperature (MAT) evolved throughout the past 2 million years (Myr) remains elusive, limiting our understanding of the patterns, mechanisms, and impacts of past temperature changes. Here we report a ~2-Myr terrestrial MAT record based on fossil microbial lipids preserved in the Heqing paleolake, East Asia. The increased amplitude and periodicity shift of glacial-interglacial changes in our record align with those in sea surface temperature (SST) records.

Carbonaceous asteroids are the source of the most primitive meteorites and represent leftover planetesimals that formed from ice and dust in the outer Solar System and may have delivered volatiles to the terrestrial planets. Understanding the aqueous activity of asteroids is key to deciphering their thermal, chemical and orbital evolution, with implications for the origin of water on the terrestrial planets. Analyses of the objects, in particular pristine samples returned from asteroid Ryugu, have provided detailed information on fluid-rock interactions within a few million years after parent-body formation.
