Using first-principles calculations, this study unveils a spherically aromatic core-shell B@B structure featuring a B icosahedral core, which is the smallest complete coating icosahedral B core-shell B cluster to date. Detailed orbital and bonding analyses reveal that the icosahedral B core exhibits prominent superatomic behavior with the electronic configuration 1S1P1D1F.

The increasing global demand for food and the adverse environmental impacts of excessive agrochemical use highlights the urgent need for sustainable and scalable seed treatment technologies. This paper reports a novel photothermal seed coating (QC@SCCNTs) with high biocompatibility, exceptional photothermal efficiency, and notable reusability, serving as an effective alternative to conventional chemical treatments. The coating consists of sericin-functionalized carboxylated carbon nanotubes (SCCNTs) electrostatically complexed with quaternary ammonium chitosan (QC), forming a composite film (QS film).

Conventional CSLBs cause rapid tissue damage due to electrochemical reactions, necessitating the development of safer battery designs. This study aimed to develop and evaluate an improved CSLB with a titanium-clad design to reduce electrochemical reactions and delay esophageal tissue damage in cases of accidental ingestion.

Background: Drug-coated devices are frequently used in coronary and peripheral interventions, but their effect on amputation risk in peripheral artery disease is unclear. We assessed whether drug-coated devices affect the rate of above-ankle amputation in patients with chronic limb-threatening ischaemia undergoing infrainguinal endovascular revascularisation.
Methods: The Swedish Drug-Elution Trial in Peripheral Arterial Disease 1 (SWEDEPAD 1) was a pragmatic, nationwide, multicentre, participant-masked, registry-based, randomised controlled trial at 22 Swedish centres.

Background: Drug-coated devices are widely used to reduce restenosis after lower limb revascularisation in patients with peripheral artery disease, but their effect on patient-centred outcomes remains unclear. We assessed the effect of paclitaxel-coated devices on clinically important outcomes in patients with intermittent claudication undergoing infrainguinal endovascular revascularisation.
Methods: The Swedish Drug-Elution Trial in Peripheral Arterial Disease 2 (SWEDEPAD 2) was a pragmatic, nationwide, multicentre, participant-masked, registry-based, randomised controlled trial conducted at 22 Swedish vascular centres.
