: The 2015 American Thyroid Association guidelines recommend the maintenance of serum thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) levels ≤2 mIU/L in patients with low-risk papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) who underwent lobectomy; however, the evidence is insufficient. We investigated the association between maintaining the TSH status at ≤2 mIU/L and tumor recurrence in patients with low-risk PTC who underwent lobectomy through a 5-year landmark analysis. : Between 2010 and 2016, 662 patients with low-risk PTC were included. The postoperative TSH status was determined using the 'TSH > 2 ratio', which was calculated using the TSH test results during the 5-year follow-up. The optimal cutoff value of 'TSH > 2 ratio' for tumor recurrence was determined using a receiver operating characteristic curve analysis. Recurrence-free survival (RFS) was compared between the groups using Kaplan-Meier and Cox proportional hazard regression analyses. : Patients with 'TSH > 2 ratio' > 0.1833 ( = 498) had a worse RFS outcome compared to patients with 'TSH > 2 ratio' ≤ 0.1833 ( = 164; < 0.001). 'TSH > 2 ratio' > 0.1833 was a significant risk factor for tumor recurrence after the 5-year landmark (hazard ratio: 4.795, 95% confidence interval: 2.102-10.937, < 0.001). : Maintaining TSH levels ≤ 2 mIU/L below a certain percentage among the total TSH tests during the 5-year follow-up period has a negative impact on tumor recurrence.

Background: Over the past decade, the remarkable rise in differentiated thyroid carcinoma (DTC) incidence, combined with the limitations of conventional diagnostic approaches, have prompted this study to explore the diagnostic value of thyroid-related serological indicators and pan-immune-inflammation value (PIV) for DTC, based on advancements in molecular biology and immunology.
Methods: Based on postoperative pathological diagnosis, the present retrospective research comprised 112 individuals afflicted with DTC (observation group) and 93 individuals having benign thyroid tumors (control group) from January 2023 to January 2025. Differences in clinical data between the two groups were analyzed via univariate statistical methods.

Objective: To investigate the association between thyroid hormone sensitivity indices and bone metabolism markers in newly diagnosed middle-aged and elderly type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients with normal thyroid function.
Method: We retrospectively analyzed 350 newly diagnosed T2DM patients (≥ 45 years), stratified by bone mineral density into Group A (normal bone density group) and Group B (low bone mass and osteoporosis group). General data and clinical biochemical parameters were collected: free triiodothyronine (FT3), free thyroxine (FT4), thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH), 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25(OH)D), parathyroid hormone (PTH), osteocalcin (OC), bone-specific alkaline phosphatase (BALP), serum calcium (Ca), serum phosphorus (P), fasting plasma glucose (FPG), glycosylated hemoglobinA1c (HbA1c), total cholesterol (TC), triglyceride (TG), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), serum creatinine (SCr), serum uric acid (SUA), and estimated Glomerular Filtration Rate (eGFR).

The evaluation of the prevalence of hypoaldosteronism and (autoimmune) hypothyroidism in dogs with hypoadrenocorticismLeft over serum samples from 29 dogs with confirmed hypoadrenocorticism were analyzed. Aldosterone concentrations were determined in 0 h- and 1 h samples of the ACTH-stimulation test. Total T4 concentration (TT4), thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) and thyroglobuline antibodies (TgAA) were determined at 0 h and 1 h following the administration of ACTH.

Background: This study compared the dimensions of the thyroid gland measured by the scintigraphic method with those measured by the ultrasonographic method. Additionally, the correlation between the technetium uptake level of the thyroid gland and the thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) values of the patient was investigated.
Aim: The aim of this study was to measure the uptake values and scintigraphic dimensions of the thyroid gland by using Technetium 99m pertechnetate and to investigate the relationship between these values in euthyroid and hyperthyroid states.
